There's no wall

Once in the 90s, I was having a chat with another skater and I mentioned wall rides to him. He replied: "Gee, that's an old trick." Like huh? So what if it's an old trick? Riding up and down a vertical wall is one of the coolest and most surreal things you can do on a skateboard. My gosh, what an attitude.

lol when I entered my first contest in 91 the old schoolers were out back wallriding 3-4 feet high down a parkade ramp and us kids were doing ollie-impossibles and entry-level tres down 3 stairs thinking we were cool. The fact that after 1990 they were ignored (and done only ironically by the Girl team in Goldfish) is a major crime of skate history.

PS You'll be happy to know I never 'outgrew' them, they were one of the few tricks I could do because my backside and mute grab sucked and I couldn't streetplant.

john motta should be #1 he did pretty much every wallride in this video. plus multiple flips to walls, varial heel, hardflip etc curved walls, multiple wall to ledge combos, wall to handrail, pole to wall to pole, tons of grabs off walls, countless bank to wall combos, pipes to wall and backwards... true wall rider :-)

I figured with a title like Top 10 Wallrides, I’d just see 10 wall rides by Jake Johnson.

This is better than watching normal skateboarding and looks more impressive.

I'm not a skateboarder but in my opinion I think the top ones would be the longest ones... with walls at a 90 degree angle with the ground...

I agree. 90°angle seems the most impressive. Wider than that we're getting into ramp transition.

I remember a couple of sick wall rides by Milton Martinez , surprised not in top 10

2:18 the way he keeps that back end glued to the wall and used his hands for stability is very impressive. Wall riding glass is tough shit I bet, seems slippery.

spanky has also some nice wall manouvers

NObody is gonna mention that they are riding on walls that look to be very high in budget buildings. And the last guy just rode on straight fucking glass.

Yeah they left out Natas but you gotta admit Guerrero's distance stood the test of time compared to what's come in the 36 years since. I personally thought I would have at least seen a wallie or at least his wallride line from WOF

I dont get It. Those were no wallrides expect the last one and #3. Jumping against a wall and sliding to the ground at the split of a second, or just touching the wall while flying past it is no wallride. Or is it only me? No offense!
