F.L.Y is my new favorite coaster ever since i went on it 3 times in a row in the first soft opening week, i really adore the steampunk theme and how special the ride is and that little preshow when you go up to the launch pad is just mesmerizing !!

I’ve only been on like 40 or so coasters, but Steel Vengeance is by far my #1! Such an amazing coaster. It blows everything else I’ve ever ridden out of the water. Great video!

You are very right on steel vengeance btw but i havent rode your number 2, 3 , 4, 6, 9, and 10.

I went to cedar point a few years back, and the ride closed down when I was second in line. We waited for 45 extra minutes, and when the ride finally opened back up, we were able to get a rollback! It was incredible!

It's a great retirement park for older coaster enthusiasts like myself who have become burned out from mega theme parks like Cedar Fair ,Disney and 6 Flags .

I commented on another of this channel's videos, regarding my love of my home state of New Jersey as a coaster mecca. We have Kingda Ka, Nitro, and El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure. I also did my medical fellowship in Cincinnati, Ohio, so I also went to Cedar Point a couple times. Truly, SFGA and CP are two of the greatest theme parks in the world. If you love coasters, visit these US states in the summer. New Jersey also has Atlantic City, the Jersey shore, and easy train access to New York City and Philadelphia. Ohio, I would visit around the time of the Kentucky derby. Cedar point is on Lake Erie in Sandusky, OH. Cincinnati is literally the hat that sits on Kentucky's head, so it's a good place to stay if you want to do both Cedar Point and the derby. Go to Sandusky for CP, drive to Cincinnati and stay overnight. Rest up, have a nice brunch (Cincinnati has great brunches and German cuisine), and go to the KD. When you go to Kentucky, have some BBQ and bourbon, wear a ridiculous hat and go to the derby! Mint julips are misleading! They sound like a refreshing cocktail, but they are full of booze and unforgiving in that hot sunshine. Be forewarned and hydrate well! Enjoy NJ/NY/PA and/or OH/KY! if you do come. And again, remember #jerseydontpumpgas

Personally my top coaster is still Kumba and probably always will be ❤️ perfect layout, intensity, the fact they don’t put sand in the supports and dampen the roar like B&M normally do, so you can hear it from all over the park yet you can barely see it even when you’re close to it because of how well it interacts with the surroundings. I could go on for days. I just love it so much. In fact my 2nd fave is arguably Montu on the other side of the park

Shawn has ridden coasters all over the world, and what he likes is his prerogative - my little tally was in fun and not meant as a criticism, just as I wouldn’t criticize anyone’s list as coaster rating is totally subjective.

@@StamfordBridge Sorry. I didn't mean to come off as criticizing. It is just something that I have noticed when it comes to the favorites that go into people's lists. Generally a coaster that you ride on multiple days is more likely to make it onto a list of favorites over one that you only get the chance to ride once or twice. I wasn't really commenting on the tally as much as local vs more distant. I have both UK and US citizenship btw, but my favorites list is biased towards East Coast and Mid-West US coasters.

¡Amazing and wonderful list with several changes from the last year! It´s weird for me (I´m Spanish) to watch Shambala better than Fury 325 because Fury 325 is my bucket list number one and I hope it could be one of the betters coasters in the world and I have not Shambala between my Top 15....anyway this is my Top 10 list: 10- Balder (Liseberg) 09- Gatekeeper (Cedar Point) 08- Hyperion (Energylandia) 07- Taron (Phantasialand) 06- Millenium Force (Cedar Point) 05- Top Thrill Dragster (Cedar Point) 04- Untamed (Walibi Holland) 03- Maverick (Cedar Point) [ Really suprise there is not in your list :( ] 02- Zadra (Energylandia) 01- Steel Vengeance (Cedar Point)

The Ride to Happiness is in 7th place, I rode it a few weeks ago and it was a totally and amazing surprise 😳👌🏻. So Balder, my favourite wooden coaster, is out of my Top 10😥 and Taron, Hyperion and Gatekeeper loses one place.

Velocicoaster is incredible!

I thought nemesis and Icon was on the list but never mind!

I have ridden shambhala at night and it is such a special ride to me 👍you feel like you are floating for the whole time and am very glad you placed it above newer taller coasters like fury 325👍

Riding Shambhala in the middle of the night while the fireworks display is going off is just an out of this world experience!

Finally went back to Cedar Point, I live pretty close but only ever went once while I was in middle school. Coasters definitely aren’t my favorite from of entertainment, but it was fun trying out many of the coasters for the first time. I definitely prefer the shorter ones though. I’m going to guess you ranked the Cedar Creek Mine Ride a lot lower than I did lol.

The Smiler is always my number 1 coaster :)

I just got a chance to ride Candymonium a couple of weeks ago. First ride was front left seat and it was a really good ride. Next time through we were closer to the back of the train and the airtime was amplified. Loved the ride and it is a good warmup before you go to the yellow monster in the hollow.

I knew steel vengeance would be number 1

Having just watched an official POV of Steel Vengeance I can understand why the pacing blows you away. If you do not count the bunny hills at the start there are 23 air time moments that you can hear the front bogies slamming down into the rail as the air time ends.

The ten coasters that I have done (- kiddy coasters) Oblivion Spinball Th13teen Mine train Wickerman Chicken coaster (at great yarmouth) Train coaster (at great yarmouth) Solar powered coaster (in wales) Blue one at blackpool Mouse coaster (great yarmouth)

Great video. You certainly like the extreme coasters. I'm not so keen on airtime so for me my top coasters are ones that have 2 or more from my tick list. Me personally I look for these things in a coaster, I want the whole experience and excitement like a blockbuster movie on a track. 1- Great theming with good story line, smell pods, special effects. 2. A fab launch is preferable but speed is a must!!! 3.Unique and original qualities with supprises along the way. 4. A good entertaining que line, it's part of the experience for me. 5.Great audio/soundtrack. So with those five things in mind here are my top ten, I've not been to loads of parks but hope to do more as soon as able. Btw..... I love a good themed family coaster 10th- Wickerman. Fab family wooden coaster at Alton towers. Great to ride in the dark, extra points for the flames. 9th place -Baron at Efteling. Steampunk feel with ghostly undertones storyline of an abandoned mine. Entertaining que line once inside and the story and audio all makes for a good experience. 8th- Thunder mountain ( Theming lighting effects and the view across the lakes. I just love how it speeds up at end. A few issues though. It's just so darn noisy and a bit rough.... oh and the wait is too long without fastpass! But I still love it so much. (Btw ....DisneylandParis only as the Florida Thunder Mounatian is rubbish and completely different ride experience in my opinion.) 7th- Taron Phantasialand because who doesn't love a double launch. We were extremely lucky though as every time I've rode was placed on front row. 6th- Hulk Universal. The launch and sound effects and it's in sunny Florida! 5th- Aerosmith Rock and rollercoaster (Dlp. Great audio and first launch in dark. RIP.... hope your replacement is worthy) 4th- The Mummy Returns at Universal studios Florida. Fire and special effects . Its awesome. 3rd- Expedition Everest at Disneyworld Florida. It has great themeing and storyline.The queline is museum like with lots of interesting things to look at. Its great speeding through the ice topped mountain. Its nice and fast with a nice tummy drop. 2nd-Escape from Gringotts at Universal Studios Florida. Excellent theming and que line is on another level. Walking through Gringotts is like your actually in the film. I doubt any ride could ever or will ever beat this que line. Fact! 1st place goes too. Flying dutchman water coaster at Efteling. Best family coaster ever! It's just so unique and different journeying in a boat through the spooky watery mist in the dark. I love the catchy dutchman music.... which I'm humming while typing this. The cue line is also great think pirates of the Caribbean style. **A special mention goes to Arthur at Europa park, its not technically a coaster as powered but deserves a special mention as everything from the que line to the storyline and theming, audio and swooping through the trees is just magical. Even has buzzing chairs which is different! **My none special effect coaster goes to Blue fire at Europapark. A bit random I know but it just makes me smile. I love the launch at the beginning and love the twists and loops. It's a classic. Nemesis always holds a special place in my heart too❤

Here is my top 10 roller coaster 1. Manta 2. Twisted Colossus 3. Iron Gwazi 4. Montu 5. Kumba 6. Cheetah Hunt 7. Tatsu 8. Kraken 9. Mako 10. Goliath (Six Flags Magic Mountain)

Oh man that's a fantastic list! Here's mine! :) 1. Maverick 2. Lightning Rod 3. Steel Vengeance 4. Valravn 5. Orion 6. Firechaser Express 7. Storm Chaser 8. Lightning Run 9. The Voyage 10. Banshee If I were to ride VelociCoaster I think that would possibly eclipse even Maverick for me, and Pantheon looks like it could, too! Taron, maybe... But I think I'd still love Maverick more. For me, Lightning Rod is even more insane than even Steel Vengeance, notably for that absolutely bonkers launched incline. I've never experienced anything like that on a roller coaster.
