The Dewalt 20v is just as light as the competitor's 12v. I am extremely pleased with the overall performance and battery life of this tool. As far as oscillators go, they just aren't very ergonomic tools. The dewalt oscillators have an offset handle that do make them somewhat more ergonomic than the competitors' oscillators.

LOVE my Gerber. I think the Diesel is a tad big for a everyday carry.

I've had a Gerber Diesel for about ten years, other than the scissors getting a little, it's served me well.

Thanks for video but Gerber makes great sheaths and ok tools, Leatherman is the best quality tool on the market by far, field tested.

I carry a Gerber on me, I love it But it doesn’t come close to leatherman

I have 7 leatherman and 3 victorinox swisstool and 1 gerber center drive. Leatherman surge is my less robust heavy duty multitool. Gerber center drive (except for carbide wire cutters!!!! ) and victorinox are a lot strongest than my leathermans. CD IS THE STRONGEST. I make also a scratching test with a carbide cheesel and Leatherman scratch like butter. Gerber CD 420hc is a lot harder than leatherman surge 420hc. Sure a better heat treatment. Plus, all leathermans gets quickly loose in pliers pivot after 50/100 iron wire cutters. Even for soft metal of pivot and pliers. The pliers theets on my leathermanS bends so much faster than gerber or victorinox pliers. Anyone noted these?

People that carry leatherman's dont even use them except to trim the pube hairs off your chins with those midget scissors. Gerber multi tools were standard issue on the aircraft carrier i was on, not leathergays.

How to disassemble: -jewelers- -torx- Dremel w/ cutting wheel + flat tip

Gerber makes great affordable multitools. Their multi-tools are not comparable with Leatherman in terms of quality but they are way cheaper.

all. My 7 leatherman are far more easy to brake than my only one gerber center drive. The 420hc steel on leatherman is a lot softer than 420hc of center drive. I make a scratch test with a carbide chesel and Leatherman scratch like wood. Not gerber. After years of Leatherman (brokes) and After buying gerber CD and victorinox, I'm seriously starting to think that leatherman is a lot of aesthetics, a lot of marketing and little substance.

A friendly suggestion. All multi tool is better served the market with field solution for knife (and any applicable) edge(s) reconditioning and finishing. Either with two grades of industrial diamond grid (not hinged - such as CAS Hangwei Professional) file. Of the four faces, one each (>#1000 and #30-40) for broader faces, (#1000) on both slotting and half-round faces. Round file face - to repair/replace chipped point on straight blade into intermediate serrated point (no need to reduce whole width to match with chip), also for maintenance at serrated edge section. Slot file face - options : two 90-degrees or 30 to 45-degrees. The latter is more practical to convert nicks into a single serrated V and maintenance of V slot on tool if any. On top of those, include in the sheath : is a piece of leather strip for edge lapping. Can remove micro-burr after horning. If needed, can horn our blades into razor edge for shaving. Also create tiny blind holes in the leather strip for lapping compound storage.

I hate the part serrated and part straight edge of Gerber. But i do love their spring loaded pliers. But i prefer Leatherman.

Quality and materials for Leatherman are far and away better. Some of the Gerber designs are pretty cool though. I've had a few Leathermans (Leathermen?), but for whatever reason my Gerber Crucial always gets the most mileage.
