Thanks for the Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Chireetler Eating Program Rule (google it)? It is a good one of a kind guide for discovering the secret the dog food industry is hiding minus the normal expense. I think your expertise is based on what your dog will eat. And it sounds like your dog is standing right in your plate. You should make a feeble attempt at doing some research on canines and not on raccoons. The only reason any animal would eat the same chemical garbage as humans, would be if they are starving. Technically, their diet consists of raw meat (as alive as possible). When was the last time you saw a wolf hunt for peanut butter?

I boiled eggs for my dogs and gave them also some raw carrots. They both loving it . Cooked rice with chicken carrots and cooked meat .. dinner is served.

My dogs eat: chicken, beef, low salt pork such as sirloin and loin, ground pork, turkey, venison, bison, tuna, shrimp, cooked salmon, white fish, calf and chicken kidneys, chicken and beef hearts, chicken gizzards, turkey butts, sardines, mackerol, cooked eggs, peanut butter without xylitol, peanuts, pistachios, pumpkin seeds without salt, beans, green beans, carrots, apples and pears without seeds, sweet potatoes, white and red potatoes, peas, cooked oatmeal, left over grits, left over maceroni and cheese, barley, rice, cabbage, spinach, pumpkin, squash, blue berries, strawberries, cornbread, spaghetti and meat sauce without the onions, barbeque meat with sauce, plain pure Greek yogurt without the extra sugar and other mess, plain cottage cheese, specific cheeses, home made jerky. Also, they get supplements of minerals, probiotics, vitamins, etc. I don't share my lobsters with them!😁 My dogs have been eating these foods from age 6 months. They are 13 years old. I don't give them knuckle bones as much now because of their old teeth. All 3 still have beautiful, strong teeth. They still get bully sticks. Dogs need to chew and tear into flesh. They crave it. Look at Dr. Karen Becker, Ronald Habib, Dr. Greg Martinez, Dr. Judy Morgan and Dr. Andrew Jones for ideas about dog and cat nutrition. They all have youtube channels, books and podcasts.

Same here, we dont feed them cooked chicken bones. Had couple of dogs, i have two now. 12 and 3 yrs old, not any of my dogs trough my life time had sickness or any kind of health problems. I have range free chickens and pigs and my dogs love to go eat all kinds of raw grains with them but mostly corn.

Carol, but here's the thing: Are we humans even SO conscious about our food sources that we always balance our diet perfectly? On the one hand, you have people saying "That diet will kill your dog, it's so unbalanced," and the other hand, you have people saying "Oh, I feed my dog table scraps, and he's 15 years old and perfectly healthy." Then you add to this the fact that, really, VERY few veterinarians have been trained in nutrition (and who would they be trained by?) It's a similar situation with commercial dog food: are those polysyllabic ingredients on the label necessary for good health . . . or are they dangerous filler? I have no idea whether $4 per pound premium dog food is any healthier for my dog than a homemade diet.

My dog hasn't eaten Dog food in years. He eats healthier than I do.

The best food for dog is liver.. (chicken or pig liver) boiled liver or grilled , do not put salt. That's why our dogs here in Philippines live longer.

Correct but variety is the key like any or mix of the 10 healthiest dog food dito and chicken or pork liver too. My dog eat all on the list (I make homemade dog food) but cant get my chihuahua to eat apples or any fruit 😣. Dairy like cheese, I feed very little and not often as treats.

While I’m not a vet, please watch out for an ingredient called “xylitol.” It is an artificial sweetener used in many sugar free foods that can be deadly to dogs. Just a few grams can be fatal for a dog the size of a labrador. And also, I wouldn’t recommend peanut butter to be the main source of protein for a dog. Naturally, animal proteins would be the main source of their nutrients. I hope this helped. :)

I give my dog plenty of brown rice, brown lentils, carrots, sugar snap peas, plain peanut butter, watermelon, apples (no seeds), sweet potatoes, pumpkin, and some regular dog food. She does just fine. The poop even has a nice orange color.

Dairy products like yougurt, chena and toned milk is good for dogs who are not lactose intollerant.. But cheese, butter, ghee and even pea-nut butter are harmful for dogs... Beef also should not be recommended as a good food for dogs.. Chicken is ok..

Well, I bought so many different brand of dog foods for my little friend and he would rather starve himself then to eat dog food SO... I boil chicken with carrots, making sure the chicken is fully cooked over 180°. After cooling down I throw away the skin and bones. Then dice the chicken and carrots, mix in a little of the same boiled water to not make his food so dry... It's time consuming but worth to watch him devour it and lick his bowl clean. The other day I tryed switching the carrots with broccoli and he was not having it.

I can’t speak about homemade dog food, but I definitely would not recommend homemade food for cats. Here’s why: I thought I could feed my two cats healthier food if I made it myself, so I bought Dr Pitcairn’s raw, natural foods for pets book and made food for my cats for over 6 months. It was time-consuming and expensive to find all the ingredients a cat’s diet needs. Then it took a couple of hours every three weeks to mix it all up and freeze it in batches. My cats liked it, especially the raw pork. So I fed them mostly that. Then one day they got diarrhoea from worm parasites in the pork and pooped all over the house for 10 days just as we were trying to sell our house. We then tried buying raw frozen cat food from a pet store. It was expensive, we didn’t always remember to let it thaw before they needed it, and it took up a lot of space in our freezer. So next we tried dried raw food, but reconstituting it was messy. And they often wouldn’t eat it. We now get cans of healthy cat food delivered monthly from @t Come to find out, cats, as they age, can get protein allergies, so you shouldn’t feed them the same protein every day. With delivered food, I can vary our monthly order if needed. You’ll be doing your cat a big favour if you let the cat food experts make it for you @/dog@/dogs@/doglovers@/pets@/puppy@/doglover@/dogfood@/dogslife@/cat@/pets

He's flourished, his coat is shiny, pigment coming back, real onset color, pads not cracking. I also had his allergies tested via saliva specimen. Once I removed items he was allergic to, he flourished even more! The thing is, one size doesn't fit all. So I partially agree with your statement.

black trees the issue isn’t that it will exhaust your dog, the issue is some foods here can cause organ disease and cancer to dogs. They don’t break down food the same way we do, they’re getting nutrients which are good but their organs are being worn down horrendously. You don’t have to agree with what I have to say.

I think dogs and cats best to give them a healthy diet, the same as us. Not chocolate and union of course. My cat lived to 26 years, fit, but whent to sleep and in the morning she had died that night. but we could tell she was going she,was exceptionally loving the last cupped of days could tell she was saying goodbye, similar with our twodogs. We miss them though.😥🙃

Rice is not good for the dogs. Most people think that they NEED it to firm up loose stool. But you should figure out why it was loose in the first place. A better alternative to firm up and keep firm stool is raw or lightly cooked veggies. Broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, etc. Stay away from onions, garlic, mushrooms, peppers. They are too harsh on the dog's systems. They have more sensitive systems then we do. Cucumber raw is awesome too. Pork and Beef are the most acidic foods for dogs and can cause allergies and inflammation in their bodies. I had a great vet who practices alternative therapies for dogs, say if your dog is running a little hot to change your protein sources to fish and turkey. Peanut butter/peanuts are the lowest quality nut. And it's processed. So organic nut butters like almond or cashew can be a better idea but in very small qualities (less than a teaspoon, 3-5x a week). Cheese and eggs also have to be monitored in very low doses. I think my 12 year old GSD gets about 10-12 eggs a year. And maybe a couple pieces of cheese a year. Raw meats vs cooked. We have to remember that domestics dog's DNA hasn't been wild for many generations. They have evolved to eat more cooked food. So any raw meat again should be less than 10% of their diets. Organic Coconut and small amounts of avocados are a great source of good healthy fats for dogs and cats. My GSD's fur is still like silk. My GSD will get about on average 2 avocados a month.

Dogs loves apples. Make sure to cut out the seeds. Peanut butter dogs love it. It’s even better if you get the ones that have olive oil. Omega 3 is important for dogs health. Cooked chicken are great, very little salt is a must. A lot of dogs are lactose intolerant so be mindful. If you feed them raw beef (red meat) make sure you froze the meat for at least 24 hrs to kill the bacteria. Be careful about food that has garlic and onion because it’s kinda like poison. When it comes to dried commercial product, do your research.

For a dog any dog cooked chicken with no grease and spices works well carrots also the other maybe check with. Your Vet 🐶

As pretty obvious from these comments, like people,there's no one diet perfect for all. Ive had dogs and cats my whole life. Truth is, dogs will eat most anything if really hungry or sometimes even if they aren't and are also pretty good at knowing what not to eat whether it's not good for them or just because they don't like it for some other reason..How do you think they survived for centuries before we started coddling and treating them like furry human children? They have instinct for survival if it isn't snuffed out by their people ''parents'' who want to alter their natural state.

Chicken is good for dogs especially if they have had tummy issues. Same goes for eggs boiled of course.

Don't let your dog eat grapes, my 🐶 ate 2 grapes and showed signs of distress within 20 mins, it was scary.

this is professional bodybuilding diet.

if you are giving your dog meat, it's important to add some bone because it will cause an issue later on down the road. They need the balance.

Beef & chicken a high allergen for many dogs I found out when both dogs kept getting a staff infect no other dogs I had ever had this prob and both had itchy bald patches.

you need to amend the peanut butter ingredients and apples and put a warning up that dogs should not eat apple cores as they contain Cynaide,,the peanut butter may contain the artificall sweetner Xitol

The worst one on this list is the oats- my two German Shepherds are allergic to grains.

Ray Butter try buying him wet dog food, they sell it at pet stores and it will help your dog get used to household foods if you would like that also I recommend the brand Cesar it serves a great tasting wet and dry supply of food. Anyways I hope I was useful if not, I'm sorry, but good luck!!

Ray go raw it's the best for your dog don't listen to any of this crap he telling you it's all lies. Look into the 8020 prey diet. Believe me it's the best thing you can do your dog will flourish. No crap commercial dog foods or kibble they full of fillers. Dogs do not need carbs they need protein and fats and calcium from bones. Always raw never cooked ever. Please research I kid you not. Rice & curd is good for all puppies. Not sure about the peanut butter and oatmeal.

cheese has high salt and is no good for regular feeding but has treat potential. your stock photo of a seasoned chicken with spices is also a no-no-- the dog's kidneys will have to work extra hard to get the salt out.

@carol m wow, thank you Carol I will ask the butcher at the grocery store next to i have freezer space for some bones. I didn't even think of asking. I am still not sure if he will give me any, probably will but it's worth a shot. I'll ask if he has any not cooked, not seasoned, not smoked and about a lbs or two for my pit. That would make a great meal for him. 😊
