for witherhoards catalyst PLEASE get it, i understand its a pain, but get the catalyst boosts, then just use dead messenger. it took me less than an hour, it is VERY worth it

I’m a D2 veteran since 2018. I agree with MOST of the recommendations in this video. It’s a pretty good guide! However, I have two critiques - Legend of Acrius and Bad Juju are “fine” but they do not need to be among the first ten Exotics for a new player to prioritize. I would suggest Tractor Cannon and No Time To Explain or Graviton Lance, instead, but there’s a dozen or so Exotics that I’d put ahead of Acrius or Juju (Trinity Ghoul, Traveler’s Chosen, Riskrunner, Quicksilver, Centrifuse).

If you had one excotic cipher and you had to choose between these choices what would you recommend. I need something strong for bosses because I only have revision zero to stun barrier champs.

@@michaelmaldonado2408 You could try to buy Sleeper Simulant, and then farm for its catalyst.

bastion for melee builds is a new hot choice since it gives you a range option, if you are picking exotics always go for multipliers (if you are new) like the gun works with exotic armour piece. also if your build is like a close melee build you can farm the side bosses before the big boss solo in raids which helps build your collection.

Thank you, so much, I skipped around playing destiny so I don’t have a lot of random exotics and knowing which ones are worth it outside of specific builds, idk why no one has made what exotics are worth it cause so many people came back for final shape

Awesome vid. A hint… try not to use acronyms or deep Destiny lingo. We “blueberries” don’t know it. Example… “ad clearing?” Even DPS some might not know. Etc. but, great vid. Solos seem forgotten, especially by Bungie itself.

Thanks for the descriptions, and the video. You said the Bad Juju was a good place to start until you get some of the better legendary pulse rifles…. It would be good if you could put together a video on what those legendary pulse rifles are, please 😇 (I find it hard to tell the difference between many of them). I’m a pretty incompetent player, so I find the Graviton Lance helps me out a lot, do you have a your view on it? Thanks again.

I REALLY wish they would bring back the ZHALO supercell and make it hit like in D1. They tried with riskrunner but it just aint rhe same. And i wish they would make hardlight hit like it did in D1

I have a question, how would you get legend of acrius as a solo player? It requires spoils of conquest to be bought if you didn’t get it from its raid and that isn’t necessarily able to be done solo

You need to do a Raid. You can use the Fireteam finder...it's fun

Got everything but Legend of Acrius. That, of course you need spoils to purchase. As a person who doesn’t usually do raids, I’m not able to get some of those guns. But all good, got all the rest of these in the video 🙂

Theres a way to get about 70 spoils a week for free, takes a while but you can still get everything if you do it every week

Dragon's breathe is pretty much the first exotic heavy I would recommend new players to buy. For one it deals a LOT of damage overtime, secondly unlike other rocket launchers, it does not instantly kill you when you fire into something up close. Just gotta back off before it the main warhead explodes lol.

@@michaelmaldonado2408 Honestly depends on what you want. Sunshot is pretty much the OG ad clear gun while Polaris Lance was pretty much "The Scout rifle" for a lot of content. Dragon's breathe is just a good heavy because of the DOT which means you can shoot and hide or switch to other weapons to do more damage in the same window. All these are pretty good first picks. If you can live with other legendaries, but absolutely need boss killing power for solo content, I would say Dragon's breathe first. It also auto-reloads without requiring a catalyst so it is quite nice. Other heavy solar weapons I can't recommend them early. Whisper and Sleeper really needs the catalyst. Parasite and Lament require respective DLCs completion. Xenophage is a dungeon quest drop while Gally is a PAID dungeon exotic. Eyes of tomorrow raid exotic. That leaves with Heir apparent which is a machinegun.... So yeah if Boss damage is your need, get Dragon''s Breathe.

The Acrius catalyst of trench barrel is a 50% dmg boost, I'm pretty sure.

New player here, I have been using graviton lance a ton and feel like I have been shredding enemies and I am always top kills in vanguard/quests where other people join. How does it stack up compared to these weapons?

Graviton is amazing especially with the catalyst. Getting the catalyst is another thing though. You'll either get it to drop quickly or in my case.. Months!

Many people shat on polaris lance until last seasons artifact perks made it good.

Honestly some of the weapon picks are good, but wayyyy too many of these are dps focused, like even the non dps exotics you picked, have dps value, it’s kinda wild, definitely needs more variety, was gonna send this to my new player friend but, i feel like there isnt enough general utility picks from this list

no, the reason they are in the archive is because their exotic mission or raid doesnt exist anymore, so you wouldnt be able to get them otherwise
