    Unfortunately after she escapes, the people go back to being afraid and unsympathetic of Quasimodo and say he's "killing [them]" or "hitting [them]" over again, and he sadly goes back inside. I guess they didn't want to listen to a gypsy, huh?

    My top 5: 1. Esmerelda 2. Rapunzel confronts Gothel 3. Anna confronts Elsa 4. Live Action Cinderella 5. Live Action Jasmine What I like best about live action movies is that in Cinderella the relationship between the prince & Cinderella is better developed by then meeting prior to the ball. Jasmine is a totally badass in live action Aladdin!

  • @vetarlittorf1807

    @vetarlittorf1807

    Live-action Jasmine is boring. They took away all her sass and fun personality and went overboard with the "strong female character" thing. And all her "powerful" moments are immediately undermined after they happen. Like how she sings a song about not being silenced only to be immediately silenced. The animated Jasmine was compelling, sweet, feisty, sassy, brave and intelligent but also had enough flaws to make her a relatable character. Live action Jasmine is the polar opposite of all that.

    And now, with the release of Encanto, I can say I would easily add Mirabel's response to her grandma at the movie's climax on this list. It's not always when we see a character stand up to one of their own loved family members, but when Mirabel knows that the whole family's miracle is crashing because of Abuela Alma's expectation of the younger members of the family, Mirabel lets herself be heard even if the truth hurts. I think it's an incredibly powerful scene, especially to those who conforonted a similar situation where someone of the family assumed a conservative yet unhealthy position. It's inspirational and helps family of all kinds to realise that everyone is human and can make mistakes no matter how much they lived or how much they presumably know more.

    I think Moana’s new version of her mantra after her Grandma visits her is so much better than the original. “I am Moana of Motunui. Aboard my boat, I will sail across the sea, and restore the heart of Te Fiti." Instead of saying Maui, it changes to mean Moana herself.

    Pocahontas should’ve been in top 3. Considering she not only saved John Smith from execution, she literally prevented a damn war from breaking out. And I’m kinda surprised her father wasn’t shocked when she declared her love or Smith wasn’t trying to tell her its ok or leave before she got hurt. She literally managed to open the eyes of almost everyone there. Also Kiara’s “Daddy this has got to stop. A wise king once told me we are one, I didn’t understand him then. Look at them they are us, what differences do you see?”

    I agree on all but Merida's speech, since I'm not really a fan of Brave, but it is a good scene, I admit. Either way, every other one of those moments are awesome. And I know Esmeralda defending Quasimodo is definitely one of the best, because it shows how caring she is. In fact, that's why a friend of mine absolutely loves her, and she deserves to be a role model, for accepting those with differences! 😄 Oh, yeah, and while I'm not a fan of the live-action remakes apart from Cinderella, I can agree those moments of Cinderella and Jasmine are awesome, especially the former! 👏 Also, I say Esmeralda, Megara, Jane Porter, Anna and Elsa all deserve to be Disney Princesses! 😄 Edit: Forgot to mention Kida. She deserves to be a Disney Princess too.

    Good list. Personally, I love the KH3 version of Rapunzel's mixed feeling scenes better than the original version from the movie.

    Esmeralda shoulda been higher in my opinion, but I'm happy that Brave and Merida got some love. I often seen people bashing Brave, but Merida is my favourite princess and I'll gladly support her number one spot

    Saving Smith is great for the movie, but it was pure fiction. They didn't even meet while he was held by her father's tribe.

    3 Mulan 2 Esmeralda 1 Pocahontas how did you not put the princess willing to lay her life down to save others? On top of that she opened John's eyes to the sanctity of mother earth. Top tier princess

    This is why I love the Aladdin remake more than the original. Jasmine is a more interesting character, and a far more ambitious princess.

    I'd have put Jasmine's monologue MUCH higher, like top 5. Pocahontas and Esmeralda deserved to be in the top 5 too. Pocahontas' monologue is especially relevant today with the racial tensions in the US being so high and hatred on every end.
