Cheers Ed! Did you ever get a chance to play Afterburner on a gyro cabinet? I found it exhilarating....but also incredibly difficult!!!

The year that my little brother was born and it's also the year that a huge amount of really good games came out. I'm happy that you put Double Dragon on the first place, because, it was somewhat a revolutionary title that opened the path for other Beat 'em ups like Final Fight and, maybe, even for the fighting genre in general. And if we include console games that came out that same year, like Mega Man, 1987 becomes a truly legendary year for gaming 👍👍👍

For me tis was the start of good modernish arcade games.
Please do a guide on which shader you’re using (I know your community notes mentioned you’ve been tinkering) because it looks absolutely stunning.

These were all captured on FBNeo in RetroArch....ocassionally I dip into MAME if a game is unsupported in FBNeo

Man I like your videos but be careful with the use of shaders, most of the time there is a lot of moire unless, I guess, you are watching on a 4k screen and fullscreen. If you can, try to watch this video on a 1080p display: in theater mode or full screen and you'll see by yourself what I mean. I think that to have the same behaviour on different screens, shaders are not recommended, it is best to use some other type of post-processing effect. If it can be of any use, shinobi was the only one looking ok on my side. nonetheless, keep it up!

Ah that's good to know. I didn't realise that was happening. I'm so used to using shaders now that games look "naked" to me without them 🤣. But honestly thanks so much for the tip

it looks fine on my 1080p display but I know what they mean. I was using scanlines on ps2 and recorded it. depending on the size of the window of the recording they looked funky.@@RetroCrisis
