"Be Prepared" has always been the #1 villain song for me, glad msmojo has good taste...it is both sophisticated and morbid and very ahead of its time for how dark it is (outside of the black cauldron movie which was WAY ahead of its time)

Definitely! I mean, Disney's direct to video sequels haven't got the greatest reputation in the world, but Simba's Pride is one of the few great ones; Zira's villain song is one such reason.

Prince of Egypt had some of the most gorgeous animation I've ever seen in a hand drawn animated movie. Even the parts where CG was used were wonderfully done. I am just in awe of the beauty. You don't even need to be a Christian to appreciate that.

I personally can’t stand Fern Gully, I find it too cringey and cheesy. However I’d willingly sit through that whole movie just to hear Toxic Love.

"In the dark of the night" is a weirdly catchy song considering the message it has

Cool line up, wrong order. Consider: -Friends on the other side infinitely greater than Gaston. -Hellfire and Be Prepared are both contenders for #1 -And a little less commentary and a little more of the music would make the overall experience more enjoyable, but again interesting line up!

Mother Knows Best deserves more than a honorable mention.

If anyone is interested....the talented Tony Jay (RIP) provided the voice for Claude Frollo. Shame that a majority of the list got a shout out from the narrator on the countdown but not Tony, who also voiced Megabyte (ReBoot). He definitely brought an air of class to the villains he voiced👌

YES! The #1 spot belongs to Scar. He's by far one of my favorite Disney villains of all time, maybe my most favorite. His song is even my favorite Disney song to this very day, other than Freind Like Me from Aladdin & Trashing The Camp from Tarzan. This was a good list overall, good job.

The World's Greatest Criminal Mind? It's Vincent Price singing. Also Prince Ali reprised, Trust in me, and Imperial March. Even though its Darth Vader's theme song.

No way "Be Prepared" and "Poor Unfortunate Souls", even being excellent, are best than "Hellfire". Frollo is the most complex villain of Disney, and his music is very very more epic!

I've always found the swedish version of 'Hellfire' to be the best one. The deep base voice of Stefan Ljungqvist makes it stand above the rest. (Same singer also portrayes the villain and sings 'Be prepared' in the swedish version of 'Pocahontas')

The Italian version is even more horrifying; particularly because instead of singing "Choose me or your pyre", Frollo sings "I'm waiting for you in Hell". Yeah. That line shows he's REALLY going off the deep end.

Well, maybe antagonist is a more accurate term, but he did order Mowgli to be kidnapped and would not have let him go (if Baloo didn't rescue him) if Mowgli didn't teach him how to make fire. Plus, King Louie was a rather threatening presence in the CGI remake.

'In the Dark of the Night' is my absolute favorite villain song of all time. And then, what about Thumbelina and the awesome toad song, huh? That song is WAY catchier than any other jazzy upbeat tune. And well, for those who insist on being Disney-biased, Hellfire is purely amazing, but some "bad" sequels tend to have awesome songs, and in my humble opinion Jafar's "You're only Second-Rate" is a bop, and "My Lullaby" from Lion King 2 is just THE most mindblowing song. Finally someone said it. It was so f*cking predictable that be prepared is number 1. I don't get all the love about it. Maybe I'm weird but for me that song has always been skippable. On the other hand I have always LOVED my lullaby from the sequel and poor unfortunate souls. That song from Thumbelina is also a great one.

These lists will always be based on the more 'popular' movies. I'm afraid that all the hype over lion king will ruin that movie for me. Exactly the same thing has happened with frozen. They are good movies, but not amazing imo.

"Be Prepared" is a close second in my book. You do have to appreciate (maybe not the right word) how evil a song is when it can turn a group of hyenas into the Third-Reich (or would that be the fourth?). Fun fact "Be Prepared" was actually performed by two people in the animated Lion King. Jeremy Irons the voice of Scar was losing his voice, so another voice actor was brought it to finish the second half of the song. And does one hell of an impression as it is almost impossible to tell the difference. However in my opinion "Hellfire" is just a notch above on the evil scale. I mean it starts with him praying saying "you know I am a righteous man..." but at this point in the movie he murdered Quasimodo's mother while she held the hunchback as in an infant in her arms, on the steps of the cathedral and then nearly dropped the infant down a well on purpose. But still he views himself as a righteous man. As it was said "nothing worse than a monster who thinks he is right with God." But I respect your opinion.

I wish Jafar's version of Prince Ali song was in the live action Aladdin movie

I wish live-action Jafar wasn't so boring and bland compared to his energetic and intimidating animated counterpart.

Probably bc the actor they chose to play Jafar isn’t a singer so they dropped the song.

@@ghfun1 Jafar's voice was Jonathan Freeman. Scar's voice was Jeremy Irons. Just to clarify....

Aphmau fans love the song "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" because of Kestin's version in MyStreet Season 1 called "You're a Mean One, Mr. Zane"

Are you saying that the second Gospel Truth isn’t a villain song even though it’s about Hades?

Schaffrillas: Shiny deserves more than just an honorable mention. I think so too.

Honestly, Lion King 2 villain song, That’s My Lullaby, was amazing. So was Deception, Disgrace. That movie was great and I watch it more than Lion King

The list has some really awesome entries especially the Disney entries. If there was one that I personally would add though it would be Open Up Your Eyes from MLP: The Movie. The vocals and music are chilling yet beautiful and projects the villainess's motivation rather well.
