ever since porygon was banned from the anime. we never got to see it evoution porygon 2 and porygon z in the anime all because of the yellow mouse pikachu.

You forgot about the Gargoyles episode “Deadly Force”, which was a gun safety PSA involving Broadway accidentally shooting Elisa with her own gun, but thank god the latter survived at the end. This episode was banned for a while, but came back on the air but censored the shot of the puddle of blood around Elisa.

Yeah, that easily one of the darkest Gargoyles episodes ever and it taught a harsh lesson about gun safety and gun violence; Someone could get hurt and/or killed!

I love how most of these banned episodes belonged to some of the greatest cartoons in history, but of course even newer cartoons tend to have their share of banned episodes or deleted scenes.

Here's one that I think deserves a mention: Bluey- "Dad baby" Disney channel, Disney XD and Disney junior all refused to air the episode in the U.S because of the themes of pregnancy in said episode and how it depicts it on a show aimed specifically for kids. The three Networks also deemed it too inappropriate to air.

The Darkwing Duck episode "Hot Spells" aired once on Halloween 1992, was pulled from general circulation, and has never been available on VHS or DVD, or digitally. It can't even be viewed on Disney+, according to the show's wiki. It involved Darkwing's daughter Gosalyn making a deal with the Devil for magical power and almost condemning her father to Hell.

That's actually incorrect. Gosalyn never made a deal with the Devil, it was Darkwing who did and it was to save Morgana.

If a Mickey Mouse Works Short "Minnie Takes Care Of Pluto" would have been brought back in 2003 on Disney's House Of Mouse, it would be more of A Pluto Cartoon instead of A Minnie Mouse Cartoon and it the title would be changed to "Pluto vs. Minnie".

Haven’t you heard of “Cody’s Hot Dog Restaurant ?” That video from SML is a banned episode cuz the creator which is Logan Thirtycare went overboard while filming and starts putting pornographic scenes in this entire video. Then a few months later KZread got upset at him and age restricted his video

One banned episode of children's TV that comes to mind is the Teletubbies episode "See Saw." That one was banned for it's infamous Magic Event sketch featuring the Lion and Bear. After parents complained about it being too scary, the episode was banned along with all other episodes that had the sketch.

The Rocko's Modern life one. I didn't even know it was banned as a kid, cause I know I watched it in real time. Same thing w/ The tiny toons one. I can swear I saw it more than once during it's run.

Spongebob mid life crustaceans pulled from rotation in 2018 and it was pulled from steaming services because of the panty raid scene. Though I’m my opinion this episode isn’t terribly bad though I understand the panty raid scene isn’t really a kids thing. I hope the episode will get put back on eventually.

@@hunterolaughlin That wasn't necessarily bad compared to other things later SpongeBob episodes got away with. Karen parents just gotta complain about the littlest things.

I am surprised that they did not include MId-Life Crustacean from Spongebob Squarepants here.

Spongebob has had a couple of banned episodes. The most notable being "Mid-Life Crustacean" because of the panty-raid scene. Another one was "Wormy" as the close-up to the butterfly form of Wormy (which was a horsefly) was seen as scary in some countries.

There was the episode of "Braceface" called "Busted" where Sharon decides to buy a pump-up bra to make her breasts look bigger. It was banned in the United States and other countries for obvious reasons.

Some people say otherwise, but it did air on a Saturday Morning timeslot (and it was at a time when Disney was marketing Mickey more towards children than the adults that the original shorts were aimed at).

In this one, George adopts Ren and Stimpy and puts them through hell training them, until Ren snaps and beats the shit out of George. The episode never saw the light of day until the Adult Party Cartoon reboot, which was pretty much the only good thing about that god awful reboot.

Surprised the Rocko's Modern Life episode "Leap Frog" wasn't at least an honorable mention on here.

The inclusion of the François Clemmons scene from Mr. Rogers was appropriate, since today's his birthday! I loved the Conflict week. The episodes with the bank collection and the visit to the cave were awesome imo. Although it's been disclosed a rumor more than once, there were 4 pre-79 weeks from 1969 and 1970 (Episodes 1036-1040, 1051-1060 and 1071-1075) that were presumed "banned" because they stopped airing on PBS years before the rest of those seasons did (beginning with 1056-1060, in either 1976 or 1978) and they're the only 4 color weeks not included in the Mr. Rogers Plan & Play books (which ironically do include Conflict, even after 1996). The alleged reasons were the wizard in 1036 was a bit much, 1053 was about fishing (Rogers kept fish as pets) and both the lab rats and Bob Dog threatening to hit Lady Aberlin in 1075.

I've seen "Dexter's Laboratory", "Pokémon", "Phineas and Ferb", "Arthur", "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood", and "Cow and Chicken" when I was little! I still watch some of these shows! My bro has seen the "Dexter's Laboratory" episode "Rude Removal". I've seen parts of "The Wizard of Oz". "Tiny Toons Adventures" is like "Looney Tunes". I don't like how the red-haired woman and the blue-haired man in "Pokémon" are bad. Some of the other shows on this list are new to me.

The red haired woman (Jessie) and the blue haired man (James) are members of Team Rocket, an already notorious evil team from the games. Jessie and James are exclusive (at the time) to the tv version, but have been moreso portrayed as comedy relief rather than actual villains during their attempts to catch Ash's Pikachu.

While not banned, Animaniacs did have a few cartoons that (ridiculously enough, imo) had to be edited bc of the sensitivity in the moral watchdog portion of the audience; one measily edit to one of the two Minerva Mink cartoons where her cleavage was bleached (never mind the fact the whole cartoon features se*ual humor including male and female animals getting turned by her and the werewolf's mere presence that didn't shut it down altogether) and the whole news anchor episode where roughly half of the Warners' antics against Dan Anchorman (voiced by Phil Hartman!) including Slappy Squirrel's cameo was considered too harsh (?!). Also, on the latter, the character's original name was Sam Fondelsome. The second one is definitely legit, as the DVD release only shows the edited version.

Totally amazing video watch mojo, fantastic job.

I've heard this claim about "One beer" before but I KNOW I caught it in rerun a few times, and not decades later.

When I grew up in the 60's and 70's cartoons were so violent. People hitting each other in the head with frying pans, shooting each other, falling off of cliffs. In that generation of my youth, no one would have of thought of really doing those things. Now there are kids with guns killing people. WTF happened?

They made the tiny toons one so outlandish and shocking with them dying at the end cause they didnt want to do a psa episode. Back then EVERY kids show had to do at least one psa episode about something and they were forced to make one. So they went over the top and even had Buster say “behind the scenes” at the end that they basically had to do it. Which clearly ruins the message and point of the whole thing, so it was banned. Guess they got what they wanted lol

"Mr Skinnylegs" from Peppa Pig was banned in Australia because of the message that "Spiders can't hurt you", yet in Australia, they ARE DEADLY

Another banned episode is of Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi Surf's Up because of poor timing of the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami of 2004.

Yeah discovering that Nigel Ratburn is gay was a shock even to me. No wonder that Arthur episode was banned. It’s not the only banned Arthur episode. The Great MacGrady was banned because of its depiction of Lance Armstrong, who was caught in a doping scandal. A newer version of the episode replaced Armstrong with the fictional wrestler Uncle Slam. And then there’s Bleep, which is like the SpongeBob episode Sailor Mouth where DW learns about swearing

In Crayon Shin-chan, one of the episodes feature Shin-chan and Himawari attempting to drink an alcohol. When they tasted it, they immediately spit it out. I am not sure if it is banned, but it is no different when comparing to those such as “One Beer” from Tiny Toon Adventures. In some (certain) countries, after they spit out the alcohol/beer, the show immediately warns children never to drink an alcohol/beer, until they became an adult. After spitting out beer, they each drank juice and milk

Probably because it didn't actually air, it was a scrapped episode that was taped and only ever shown to the test audience.
