You can throw a metal boomerang during a thunderstorm for truly awesome effect. If you throw the boomerang right before you are about to be struck by lightning, the lightning will follow the boomerang on its trajectory, striking everyone in it's path. If you want to get really wild, you can catch your boomerang in the air with magnisis and it will just keep spinning while you control it.

The blood moon isn't as "random" as you might think....it is triggered after you have done a bunch of monster killing, collecting stuff, cutting down things, etc etc etc...all that information slows the game down. The Blood Moon is a sort of reset button that triggers after a certain point.

Man every time I play (which is daily) I have two or more blood moons. It’s really beginning to get on my nerves. Especially when I’ve come up to a hard spot, died 5 times and boom blood moon before I got done collecting the remains 🤦🏻‍♀️.... I just ran past them then like forget it.

Domcreator yes it does, the enemies resurrect, but also certain weapons reset too. It’s got it’s ups & downs.

You can ride bears, deers, skeletal horses, Epona, Ganon's horse, Satoru Iwata (yes I believe the Lord of the Mountain IS Satoru Iwata) ... but not Zelda yet?

I watched this video for first time when i just started with the game, tried all the things, had so much fun in the game. Yesterday finished the game and it feels someone took away a part of my life. Truly the best game of all time which has helped countless people including me during bad times.

when i first played botw, i didnt know where to get the warm doublet. i thought to myself wondering if using a torch would work. and of course it did actually work which i found very impressive and still is. love the little details in games.

@@NemzFPS I'd recommend going to the rito village in the northwest and buy the armor they have available. The warm doublet gives you like 1 tier of cold resistance. The rito armor is a full set and is 3 tiers of cold resistance and can survive any cold areas because there are much colder areas that the warm doublet cannot protect you from.

man the attention to detail they've put to this game is so amazing, i have also seen a list where if you stand at a table and try to talk to any npc they will tell you to get off the table, and also removing clothes also get's you different reactions from NPCs that is amazing level of details. that arrow thing from wooden shield amazes me.

You get to ride bears as well. Now i have seen it all. This is the best game ever made.

The attention to detail in this game as it relates to physics is absolutely mindblowing. How the game allows you to experiment with physics in weird ways that work is so cool

A good tip to get great ancient weapons is to visit Arena shrines. Once they're beat the guardians aren't spawned until the next bloodmoon. The best shrine to go to is the Tenah Ko'sah Shrine in the Ancient Columns region. Keep visiting this shrine after the bloodmoon to get powerful ancient weapons and some ancient components. Let the bloodmoon work to your advantage

No, not really. After you realize that bombs get you through most o the game...you just save the best equipment. But after you 4 star the sheik set, that's all you need. Why would you need to 4 star anything better (say the barbarian gear), when to get it, you need to heavily farm the toughest enemies: Barbarian=Lynels, Ancient=guardians. After that, you are forced to farm to level 2 cold and heat armour for divine beasts and Ganons a cake walk. Greatest ever; not by a long shot in my opinion. Great game...not the best. Now Witcher 3...that is a marvel. If BOTW side quests didnt amount to rupees or food exclusive rewards, then maybe. But why search for world chest or side missions, when you can sell cooked meals for money or get better by defeating Lynels with the master sword, bombs and arrows?

I've only killed a Lynel because I accidentally used an Ancient Arrow on it. Poof, gone...and no rewards. Don't use an Ancient Arrow on them unless you are just desperate to get past them. Those bastards that shoot fire can shoot it a LOOOOONG way after you leave the area. Trust me, I know....

Killing lynels isn't that hard. Only things you need is a lot of hearts, I mean, A LOT, stasis and preferably the master sword. But since the master sword won't last that long, you will also need strong weapons. Takes some time, but I never died while killing a lynel. Just needed to heal few times.

I just found out chuchu jelly is actually a lot more useful than i thought. You can change element of the chuchu, damaging monster with elemental attacks, burning grass to fly, catching fish (using yellow chuchu jelly, i never seen a yellow chuchu so to obtain yellow chuchu jelly you need to hit the chuchu jelly with electric weapon)

Yellow chuchus live in the plateaus north of Gerudo Desert. If one wanted to get yellow chuchus jelly, I recommend going there. There are also electric versions of keese and lizalfos. Lizalfos are very abundant in the Gerudo Desert. There are especially lots of electric ones.

I got breath just because I bought a switch before the tax rise here in Japan (wanted to get pokemon sword) and didn't really expect much, but holy guardian, I LOVE IT. I recently got witcher, skyrim, and poke sword, but this game is my top fav! 😍

The Blood Moon isn't a random occurrence, it happens once every in-game week assuming that you don't pass time by a fire. There is an internal timer that, once it has completed its cycle, will try to trigger a Blood Moon the next night. You can delay the Blood Moon until the next night if you enter a shrine.

That last line about "out Russian Vladimir Putin" was gold. XD

I love this game

I used the box for the main base of the catapult and I used the Boulder to launch myself in the air and I went super high

I didn't know about the cucco trick. That'll REALLY help in master mode.

The technical name for number 2 is stasis launches. Although that is an umbrella term for when you ride on a launched item. If you use a rock, it's called a boulder launch. if you use a tree, it's called a tree launch. if you use a slab, it's called a slab launch. if you use a box to move sideways, it's called a box walk (as the box spins when you launch it sideways, you have to walk on the box from preventing you from getting pushed off) and if you use a launch a box upwards, it's called a box launch.

I'm not a huge Zelda fanboy so wasn't very interested in this game, but after seeing how much work was put into the mechanics and gameplay, I really want this now! Got to wait til Nintendo Switch is cheaper though t.t

I am buying a switch and this is going to be the first game I get! Maybe Mario Kart first but Zelda is definitely second.

That bear ridding thing is fantastic it's just too bad that you can't keep it...now I'm absolutely going to use that attacking Cuccos on the next Lyonel I see though, this is going to be EPIC!

Wow recently got a switch and BoTW, these tips are pretty useful for me, thanks. (If I want high fidelity graphics I play on pc but this is a pretty fun game with the freedom it gives you and I like the art style)

I once tried to attack a bear while riding a bear. Way too many bears in, I think, some Hebra forest.

I have this game and I LOVE IT! Its the most open-world game I've ever played! I hope they keep doing great things with this game! Keep it up nintendo!

Near the rito village stable if you go uphill to where there is a electric wozzrobe spawn. Backtrack slightly and there is a path that is covered in tress and seemingly a dead end. There are many deer and doe spawn. There are also two bears that spawn here. Hope this helped a bit😅 sorry its not very clear but I can't remeber since it was weeks ago when I found it

You can also use a Korok leaf to blow the raft while it's in the air, this game is so fun with the random stuff you can do
