    +Berelore People like you are truly fascinating to observe. You insult, demonize, and attack liberals, Democrats, and probably other groups you haven't gotten around to targeting here yet, all for no rational reason. You talk about class warfare, and quite unsurprisingly, try to pin it on the left, despite the fact that there are people on the left and right in all classes. You project a lot. *Your* comments are the most divisive here, and you seem to be inviting "class warfare" with your rhetoric demonizing the other class. This is an interesting strategy since that class is by far the larger class, and at the end of the day, it is always votes that decide which way the country will head for the next two or four years. Voting, that's the thing where every person's vote has the same value, and most of them are not in the wealthy class. Remember, "the top 1%" is not just a nickname - they really do only represent 1%. A practical reality is that if you want a healthy, stable society, you can't achieve it by belittling and demonizing the working classes while seeing just how much of their income they're willing to see flow to the wealthiest individuals. And the data is indisputable: income and wealth have be flowing like a river to the top earners for the past 30 years. (For those who'd like to see an interesting interactive graph, google for "see how growth in average income was shared between the richest 10% and the other 90% of Americans." Google for these as well "Low-, middle-, and high-income growth, 1947-2009" and "Household income growth by income group, 1979-2005, pre- and post-tax.") Your hatred of various groups will not make them go away, and your behavior won't motivate anyone in them to change (it will just confirm to those on the other side that you folks are just mean and hateful). Just how much more of their income do think they'll tolerate losing to the extremely wealthy? Go ahead, advocate policies that have produced massive increases in income for the people at the top and minimal, if any for everyone else. Tell all the poor how much they disgust you and what vermin you think they are, while claiming "the left" promotes class warfare. If you had any sense and weren't blinded by so much ideologically-based hatred you'd realize that you have to keep the people at the bottom content if you don't want class warfare or, as history has shown, revolution. Oh, but not you, oh no, your rallying cry is "Ideology or death!" so racist

    +james owen What comment are you replying to because this seems to have very little with my internet rule 74 joke? Elsewhere I attack everyone liberals, conservatives, democrat, republican, sexists, racists, or whatever equally. Say something stupid and I'll usually point it out like your economically ignorant drivel (another time). I don't hate anyone, but I've apparently said something to you that cut too close to a core value sending you into a stalkery rage post. So let me know where or what I posted, and I'll address your vitriol with some well reasoned argument.

  • @circeciernova1712

    @circeciernova1712

    2 жыл бұрын

    @Monica Pyle The point of a Snuggie is that it's extremely convenient to use while in a wheelchair. Ever try getting pants on while sitting down without moving your legs? Like with many products designed to help disabled people, it was marketed to the general public to avoid stigma ("Im not disabled enough to need one of *those*"), and because the wider sales increases profit for the seller even at a lower price point.

    I'm disabled and these are.some of the infomercial products I've gotten that make my life easier. The Genie bras are the only bras I wear. They're totally comfortable, have no hooks, wires, or plastic, have 4 way stretch, are supportive, and your bra size=your shirt size. I can't use an oven, so I went through 3 Redi Set Go personal cookers in 2 years. I used them daily and wore them out. I'm always cold but I have to drive my wheelchair around, so my mom got me the Snuggle. I have a couple now. And they're great for lounging around the house in, when I'm sick, or sleeping in.

    +Matt People like you are truly fascinating to observe. Oh, but not you, oh no, your rallying cry is "Ideology or death!"

    What about the "Made for TV" CDs that were popular from the mid-90's to early 2000's, such as "Monster Ballads", "Goin' South" and "Totally 80's"? (all made by Razor & Tie) Those CDs were how I got introduced to a lot of classic bands and songs growing up, before iTunes and streaming services; in fact, I loved "Goin' South" so much when I got it for Christmas the year of its release, I wore both CDs out!

In fact, that's exactly why a lot of older CDs (including the first "Monster Ballads" edition from 1999) are so highly expensive on Amazon; you could listen to the whole album on KZread (or whatever streaming platform you prefer) whenever you wanted at any time.

    3:10 Baking a potato in the microwave without a Science Bag takes 5 minutes. It just preys on people's ignorance that you can make a baked potato in the microwave in 5 minutes. The same can be said for the pasta boat, but having a built in strainer is useful at least.

  • @MikiSunshine

    @MikiSunshine

    nexus1g Actually, the pasta boat really works in that you can pop it in the microwave, set it and forget it. No more waiting for the boil, making sure it doesn't overflow, stirring to unclump. The strainer is nice, and the container can be used to mix up your sauce and fixings. Plus in summer, it's one less thing adding heat to your already hot kitchen. Ahem, I guess I like it. :/

    The pasta boat does feel kind of narrow in its field of usage though. I mean, how often do you eat JUST pasta? Most of the time you have some kind of sauce to go with it, and with a pasta cooking time of maximum 10-12 minutes you could just aswell cook it in a pot on the stove while making the bolognaise or the carbonara or the whatever you're eating it with.

    Every dish has its moment. Not everything tastes better when cooked slower. Steak, for example, has a sweet spot. Not that you'd cook steak in a microwave, but you get the idea.
