Man i love these videos so much!! they are so nostalgic. I really like all the early 2000s technology and you always steal my thoughts and words. These videos have a very peaceful and nostalgic feel to them. The only other videos on KZread i found that give me similar feeling are mrmobile's "when phones were fun" and some Janus cycle videos.

I myself am fan of both of them. Mr. Mobile is a true "weird phone" enthusiast and his presentations are so humble yet awesome! And I found out about Janus Cycle few month ago while searching for Nokia 3310. Guy is a legend with all his knowledge and fun experiments with old/obsolete tech. What convinced me to buy this phone were your videos. I love my CAT S22, I am someone from generation Z, addicted to social networks like many others. Using my CAT has helped me improve in school, now I don't get so distracted. I thought I wouldn't get used to it but I love it, and it's my way of communicating without going overboard with the internet! :))

@@pipebombpete.6861 i am getting this phone to replace my attention drainer. there's a huge difference in scrolling on a 6 inch screen for hours and hours vs. doing the same on a tiny little screen. and saying "more willpower and concentration than a five year old" feels like a very gross generalization. many people suffer with addiction to their phones. it's not even just social media. it's having a device full of things to access at your fingertips. you can scroll through reading an e-reader app for hours before bed or instead of falling asleep just the same as spending hours on tiktok.

Fantastic video! I'm getting this phone soon since I need an incentive to cut down on my social media time (I think the small screen and the slower processing power will help) and miss my old dumbphone but still need certain apps for work. Over the past few years I've gotten annoyed by bloat and have started using more open source and independent programs across all of my devices-Newpipe being my favorite new discovery, so I'm super stoked to know it will work on this phone! Do you ever have problems with the app search in the nova launcher? It works about 10% of the time. Great vid, I used this setup for mine. Plus switched the keyboard to Traditional T9 one.

I own one s22 flip , I can answer decent battery backup, if you use mobile data it will last 1 day but if you use for calling and upi payments and music listning offline , battery will last 1.5 to 2 days which is good for me. 1 sim card and 1 sd card 128 gb support no network issues so far bonus- Its really a unique design phone , whenever i go to market ,every time I got appreciation about this phone. everybody is excited to know about this phone. I bought this phone a month ago, and i think paisa wosool bcoz I have got hundreds of appreciation whenever someone see this mobile they deeply want to know about this phone🥰🥰🥰. Best purchase so far

Battery life is for single day use, without any social media or too much calling. The screen is so tiny, you'd rather keep it in the bag than to use it for social media.

If only they had NFC this would've been gold!

Dude, I fall into the same category. Hence subscribed. I have several questions. 1. Can the bootloader be unlocked? 2. Can I enable developer options? Bcoz, I have privacy concerns about Google. Since this phone comes preloaded with Google stuff, I want to remove it all (except play services). Hence i asked. My current phone is pixel 6a on Grapheneos. As i already checked, currently there are no cuatom roms available for s22 flip. And the downside for custom roms is that UPI apps wont run

1. No. (As per my knowlwdge, no twrp exists for this phone) 2. Yes I love the idea about using grapheneos. I myself had tried it on my Pixel 7. The only problem is, that OS is pixel exclusive. And there are many keypad phones that could have benefited from a de-googled os but I guess nobody's gonna make anything about it.

@@oareyou Yup Bro.......Happy to know you are also on the same privacy boat..Grapheneos currently is supported only for Pixels coz they provide real hardware level security. Actually, I am a minimalist. I somehow landed to your CAT phone video. And then got completely mad at it. The only drawback for me is it should have custom ROMs available. Also, UPI is not supported in custom roms without Google Play Services. Installing MicroG is also a pain in the butt. Also, I made some research and found that CAT doesn't make its Stock ROM available to the public.

Just something I wanted to say , could you like decrease the sound of music and increase the sound of your voice . I just thought I'd be great if you did 😅

Any suggestions when it comes to typing, keyboard, using the keypad universally, and/or alternative keyboard recommendations (like traditional T9, kika, Gboard, Microsoft Swiftkey, Blackberry keyboard, etc.)? Swiping isn't for me so anything suggested would be nice, though between all these options you might could make a video out of it!

I also don't like swiping on this tint screen, especially when there's a perfectly working keypad below the screen. I myself tried the "TT9" keyboard and it was okay but I find the default kika to be the best. Although t9 predictions are kinda hit or miss with kika keyboard. I myself don't use predictive text typing so I'm okay with Kika. According to reddit, swiftkey works great too!
