I previously thought that you guys were living the dream because you get to play so many games etc, but this specific video made me realise that you have won the lottery because you get to spend so much time with your friends, joking around, and drawing a wage for it. My friend designed Forsaken! I got to play a bunch and it’s genuinely a great experience. So great to see that game on the list.

I can confirm Cyclades is coming to kickstarter this year. I heard Bruno Cathala mentioning this multiple times in French internet media. The game will have a few tweaks to make for a shorter more dynamic game.

Also excited for Dark Quarter, Septima, Forsaken, Fox Experiment, Seas of Havoc, Unconscious Mind, Scarface 1920, Legacy of Yu, Sleeping Gods: Distant Skies. Looks like it's going to be a good year!

Harrow County looks great, very excited for it. Other classic indie comics I’d like to see with board game versions- Stumptown by Greg Rucka, Fables by Bill Willingham, Saga or Paper Girls by Brian K Vaughan.

Is there a People's Choice for most anticipated? Really would love to see what the masses are looking forward to because not a lot of cross over with me on these lists...although I am more excited to see expansions for games that I already really love instead of completely new games. Would like to see a top 10 anticipated expansions list too.

Happy to see Atlas Lost made Mike’s list - I had a feeling it would be there somewhere. I am REALLY excited about that game!

My #1 is Sleeping Gods: Distant Skies. Also very excited for Unconscious Minds, Fit to Print, Trailblazers, Kinfire Chronicles (not sure that’s 2023, but I think it is?), Ra, and Castles of Burgundy.

I'm surprised Mike didn't mention Nova Roma by Stan Kordonskiy. I'm not 100% sure it's coming out this year but it is listed as 2023 on BGG. I played a prototype and it's really good!

The cube tower in Harrow County kept eating my cubes, but the game was really cool. Only played the first chapter, but really cool how more things get introduced to the game and it evolves into a 3 player game.

My list includes Marvel:Zombies, Mr.President, Redwood, Skyrise, Dark Quarter, Thunder Road Vandetta, Forsaken, Casting Shadows, Unconscious Mind, Vindication, and critically acclaimed Last Light. My carryover list from stuff that should have come out last year includes Atlantis Rising:Monstrosities and Robinson Crusoe: collectors edition.

Love the positive feedback with the culls. Bummed about Voices in my Head.

I think Hickory Dickory from Plaid Hat looks great for this year!

45:30 That reaction made me check out why Zee was so shocked. That lead me to BGG and being shocked too but designers (people) can do a varying amount of work so we shouldn’t be too surprised. I looked through their game portfolio and saw Perfumery and that was a stunning looking cover imo, shades of Petrichor but that box lead me to find videos how it plays and this is the point, a KZreadr Cardboard East and I wanted to shout them out for their focus on Asian board games.

I feel that the camera in this studio is not as sharp as the other studio. I use 1080p for both and this one is "fuzzy".

I was looking at Atlas Lost but in the end couldn't see any reason to get it when I already have Anachrony. Don't get me wrong, it looks great...but I can't really justify it when I have Anachorny on the shelf and Voidfall coming in...

I’m looking forward to Steam Up as well. One other game I look forward to is Shake That City: strange that I heard no mention of it.

Septima is #1 for me. I'm still waiting for Come Together to come to Canadian retailers as well

Well I am still looking forward to Frosthaven but if ends up like Etherfields I might not get it until 2024 (something that happens when you go all in on Kickstarters). But Forsaken and Sleeping Gods Distant Skies I have also back (also going all in on them). Once again keeping us fellow gamers updated on what is coming out.

Surprised nobody thought of Beast. I've seen a lot of stuff about it being good.

I own Steam Up and LOVE IT. Happy I have the upgraded components which are nowhere near necessary but do make it look great. My game night group has requested it several times.

I have backed Mythwind a while back. It’s supposed to come out this year. I am really curious to see what’s it about. The legacy-like concept of an ever going game coughs my attention. But I have no idea if it’s going to be good or not.

Biggest one on my list is Isofarian Guard. But that's 3 years of waiting talking and I like stories.

Tidal blades 2 looks fun to me.

Imagine if the game had Dutrait art, bet it would have sold more. I wonder what his commission is on games because sales with his art must have a sizable gap compared to others.

I'm looking forward to Steam Up, Scarface 1920, Distilled, Tidal Blades 2, Sleeping Gods 2, ISS Vanguard and Castles of Burgundy Special Edition, and new to me games Foundations of Rome, Dead Reckoning, Wonderlands War, RA and Oathsworn. And, if Hell freezes over, maybe Nova Aetas: Renaissance and Black Rose Wars: Rebirth from LMS (haha, will believe them when I see them).

I’m surprised no one mentioned Darwin’s Journey

I mean, if you want X-Wing, nothing beats X-Wing in that space IMO. Such a solid game. Although I do prefer the 2.0 rule set over the 2.5. The X-Wing scene has died around me ever since 2.5 hit. But that also makes sense, it's not FFG making the game anymore. They wanted something different for X-Wing future then where it was heading unfortunately.
