England literally invented the industrial revolution, and then exported it to the world via trade. Without England's industrial revolution, no one has an industrial revolution, and as such this one event creates the technological age in which we live. This is why I genuinely believe, that the Brittish industrial revolution should be taught in all schools around the world. It is literally one of the biggest historical turning points of all human history. and certainly more amazing than a pajama party.

  • @stewartsavage1123

+abrr2000 I did study the industrial revolution for 5 years at school..wow it was awful, everybody was treated badly, over taxed, not enough to eat, disease everywhere and spinning jenny's are boring. Farmers for a longtime refused to use steam instead sticking to horse and plough for years.and everywhere stunk to high heaven,it cost a penny to fill up with water from the local well and it was free on sundays,so everyone went on sunday and it was party on while in the queue......i guess some of those aspects still remain today:)

  • @jackcocker545

@@stewartsavage1123 well if you had studied it for 5 years you should know it wasn't as terrible as the stereotype. Theres a reason people flocked im mass to london, because traditional farming was so brutal it was much easier to work in a factory. Unless you were in the workhouses or a crime ridden area it really wasnt that bad especially later on

+John Ronaldo I am Irish, therefore I am aware of the history. But there's no point in being Anglo-phobic, matter of fact, many English person are great people. If the majority want to stay in the uk I say why not let em, barre Fermanagh and Derry of course because they have a majority nationalist population.

+John Ronaldo not just in England, every country teaches the youth of how great their nation is and if the population is in the majority then I'm sure the north will unite or become independent. The U.K. Will fall soon anyway, 300-400 years is enough for it. I think Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland should respectfully go their own ways but still be connected. Plus, most families in the British Isles have family in the other countries.

Joe Gilbert I guess there is a certain amount of 'taking things for granted' to be said, but I do think there are many better countries in general out there than the UK or US. The UK does have good aspects of course, as does every country, just for me I found the cons to finally outweigh the pros, and glad I left. Also, I don't like to attach to the whole 'I am from here' thing, more that I was born on this planet so should feel free to go wherever I want

***** Ok, the full video was cringe worthy however the first half a minute was worst with the British Accent being portrayed by a posh mature American, The accent isn't bad but what is bad is the use of the slang and a mature voice of an older adult using slang is wrong... Like an 60 year old old man trying too hard to be cool with a very latte mid life crisis, It is just sooo wrong!

Controversial bonus fact! England used to rule a large part of the world under the British Empire! Even you America! Yep, America was owned by us! You aren't the only country in the world! And England don't want to leave the UK. Scotland had a vote for Independence but they stayed. The UK are having a referendum to leave the EU (European Union) or not.

This video is not intended to be serious I know, but if the achievements of England are to be mentioned surely it should be pointed out that the British, but mainly England invented the modern world. The first modern democracy. The first industrlised nation. The invention of (manu)factories and mass-production. The inventors of practically everything that makes the modern world. Free speech, equality under the law, the jury system, the Bill of Rights, mass production of iron and steel. By the mid 1800s nearly everything manufactured IN THE WORLD was made in the small island of Britain. The First Nation to abolish slavery. The greatest act of genuine altruism in history - the fight against the slave trade. Plus a whole host of other innovations, like time zones, immunisation and antibiotics, sciences like geology, railways, the telegraph, even scientific detective work. No only all of that; but practically all the major sports in the world were either invented in Britain or first regularised in Britain.

Top 10 facts about Engerlish women: 1) skinny/athletic, NEVER overweight. 2) pale/pinkish skin, NEVER tan. 3) Blue or green eyes, NEVER brown. 4) very tall, average height somewhere between 5'8 and 6'0 ft. 5) Are businesswomen, nurses, bankers, lawyers, schoolteachers, saleswomen, etc All have good jobs work their bums off and never claim dole and are definately employable and reliable. 6) Wear tight jeans, jumpers, shirts, leather boots as street clothes, NOT sportswear or trainers or tight skirts or 8 inch heels. 7) Adventerous and well-traveled. 8) Only drink wine, tea, coco-cola and juice, they are not alcoholics. 9) Are incredibly patriotic, always loyal to their country/roots and constantly wave Engerland flags/union jacks. 10) are polite, nice, approachable and extremely friendly, unlike the women west of the border. As Scotland, Ireland and even Poland just have "cute" women (6/10 or 7/10 at the highest) Engerland has smoking hot women and would be rated 9/10, possibly higher, their posh Engerlish accents are part of it. They are not referred to as "Engerlish roses" for nothing!!

London underground as a tourist attraction??? I'm British, but the underground isn't an attraction in any way, shape or form. Its horrible. For someone who has to use it for the daily shitty commute, I detest it with passion. When it isn't delayed, its usually packed, stuffed and stifling. Aw and I forgot to mention how much we get charged to go on it.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned, but that isn't a money spider. The little red creature is called a clover mite, and more resembles a tick rather than a spider.

the german first put them to use in the second world war, after WW2 ended, the armericans offered german engineers amunity on the condition they developed jet engines for the american, they also stole as much of the plans they could, destroying what they couldn't take, the russians went in after the americans and found some evidence of the plans and worked out the rest, the space race had begun

Mathew Willis if you want to be pedantic you are wrong The first patent for using a gas turbine to power an aircraft was filed in 1921 by Frenchman Maxime Guillaume.[3] His engine was an axial-flow turbojet. Alan Arnold Griffith published An Aerodynamic Theory of Turbine Design in 1926 leading to experimental work at the RAE. wittle put is patent in place in 1928

Here's an interesting fact about the Tower of London Back in the day, it used to be a prison, housing criminals such as Anne Boleyn [second wife of Henry the eighth] and Ronnie and Reggie Kray Also, the two princes that were supposedly murdered by Richard the third were kept there

jesus i wish you were monolingual, so we'd have been spared that pointless rant.the top two countries that left the British empire (because no countries have ever left the UK) based on statistics are the USA and Canada. DJ Nick Davis is no one. instead of copying cuisine why don't you make your own? you should be proud about copying something. Most of the Philippine's population can't speak more than one language, so don't go calling british people monolingual idiots. having a large population does not mean you're a better country than the UK. instead of wasting your time on the internet why don't you help your country that has LOW EDUCATION rates. LOW LIFESPANS. WORSE FINANCES. LOWER STANDARDS OF LIVING. why else would more and more of the population leave for japan.
