EDIT2: How does 720p60fps look? Most of my videos are rendered 30 fps, so hopefully the video looks a tad bit cleaner. Can't say anything about the source videos, since that's a bit out of my control. I'll probably never use 1080p since majority of the source footage isn't encoded in it, so it wouldn't make much sense to. EDIT: Fixed a mistake in the video using KZread's video trimmer so there's probably a random jump somewhere in the video once it's finished processing. I can never go through a video without mispronouncing something I swear.

Honestly any game can be speedran. Just find a game you don't mind playing a lot and see if there are runs on speedrun.com or even a dedicated website or discord to. Get as much info you can from the community. If the community doesn't exist, start working on runs on your own and start optimizing the game to the point people want to participate!

I remember when I accidentally found what I believe to be an unintended (although likely discovered by many) shortcut on the Oxide Station track in Crash Team Racing, that lets you absolutely destroy Oxide and any time trials by a massive amount. I was so insanely happy. :p

These are really nice videos. The language used is basic enough that someone who is new to the speedrunning community like myself can really enjoy and understand it. I really look forward to similar videos if you can find the footage :)

The fact that you concisely explain each one and have clearly done a serious amount of research is so cool to me. These kind of "top 10" or compilation videos get a bad rap because they're so often poorly researched and written. Kudos on showing what the real thing should look like.

That's cool. The skip I found in Jade Cocoon skips about 18 minutes on the previous any% run. Was a complete accident too!

I'd love some accidental discovery videos that go over really cool stuff that may not be useful. Lots of cool glitches out there with no practical purpose.

Because I misread the title the first time I looked at it I got a great video idea: Top 10 Anticipated Skip Discoveries in Speedrunning. Like skips that have been speculated for a long time, but still aren't possible, maybe because just a tiny thing is missing that would make it possible. For example Barrier Skip in Wind Waker etc.

Glad to see Halo pop up on this channel and in this vid. ^^ There's a bunch of more impressive accidental finds in the Halo series, but sadly (and I guess it's the case for many accidental finds), they don't all have footage of the moment of discovery... For example, in Halo 5, while having fun exploring the last mission and experimenting pressure launches and out of bounds, Distro (WR holder) and I found a way to climb on top of the last room and then drop under it (where the end cutscene is located) which triggered the very last loadzone before said cutscene, skipping entirely that last room filled with enemies*. This skip needed 2 players, but after a week or two of experimenting, another runner (Nibre) found a way to do it solo (which was even faster then the coop strat). This skip was one big discovery since a bad execution would still save more than a minute over a good "old strat" run (IL WR dropped directly from 8:39 to 5:39 in Legendary and from 6:43 to 5:37 on Easy -- latest WRs are respectively : 5:11 & 4:58). *That room already had a skip, but you needed to bring a warthog (car) in it to clip through the floor (which was patched in a later update -- because of abuses of this glitch in PvP), and before entering this room, you had to destroy a bunch of power cores across the map to open the room (and that's why the skip had been named core skip). ___ There's many more skips that were found more or less by accident in the Halo series, but I wouldn't be the good person to explain how they were find. Also if you're ever doing a Top10 most ridiculous (bossfight) skip, look up "warden skip" for Halo 5. ;) But yeah, I don't know if you'd read that huge block of text, but if you do : Great vid as always ! I really love your content so far. :)

When I popped in the Haloruns Discord they honestly weren't really sure which ones had footage for. Like keyes bump was the one I originally wanted to put in, but I'm pretty sure that skip is like 12 years old. Also I read all of my comments. If there's anything like this that you think would be worth me knowing my DMs on Twitter are always open or whispering on Twitch. Glad you're enjoying the content!

Myeah, lot's of accidental discoveries where either done off-stream or footage got lost... Keyes Bump is a pretty good skip, too bad you couldn't talk about it in this vid... But I didn't know it was an accidental find... That's pretty cool of you to read all comments (and not skip huge chunks of texts like my comment). What kind of stuff you'd like to know ? I'd be more than happy if the little knowledge I have could help you in future videos (or just satifsy you're curiosity ^^).
