    @@Vixenne. mine did as well. op might have had some other unrelated toothbrush that had speakers in it, because tooth tunes were made to vibrate onto your teeth which you would hear in your ear. its the same concept as clacking your teeth together with your mouth closed.

    @@auditect950 Well yeah I think that's well established already. I pointed it out based on specific similarities in both commercials like the soundscape, set design and color grading which differ significantly from the film adaptation as well as what I visualized while reading the book. I just thought it was funny since that 1984 Apple commercial was so "provocative" in it's time, and is all about sticking it to the man (IBM). The Tooth Tunes commercial really feels like a tongue in cheek attempt to portray the product as something revolutionary. I think it's clear that their target demographic would not be familiar with either 1984 or the apple commercial, but both would be in the cultural zeitgeist of their parents who might also be watching. anyways it's proof their marketing team knew what they were doing, otherwise we wouldn't be here talking about it some 15 years later.     Because it’s a product of its time. Kinda like silly bands or fidget spinners, it was a fad that was popular at the time, but then everyone just moved on from it. And our evolving technology of nowadays just makes this a useless novelty. I know this comment is 2 years old, but I’m just saying.

    I just got into a debate with my mom about the existence of these things, i vividly remembered these commercials but she had absolutely no memory of it and was convinced id dreamed it or something because the concept was so ridiculous. I showed her this as proof and she had the same "what is this sorcery??" reaction i had when i first saw it.

    I remember getting one of these but they never worked, it supposed to play music when you brush your teeth, but the toothbrush never knows when you are brushing your teeth so it just randomly plays it every 5 seconds for 2 seconds as your brushing
