I had my molar extraction last year and just a few days ago on the other side. How I wish they suggested something like this. I don't know if they have this kind of service though. But it would have been better.

Thanks for replying to my question!! No, I do not have any pain. I do not smoke or do anything that can hurt my gum. I only rinse my mouth with salted watch. I am hoping the hole will close because I do not eat at work to keep it clean and because I can clean it well only at home.

this is a good thing I think.. I wish this had been available when i lost my tooth. Now, without bone grafting. I would not be able to maintain an implant. this would also help support surrounding tissues and reduce resorption. making any appliance fit better and reducing the risk of losing more teeth due to resorption.

People worrying that they didnt do this. Dont worry. Theres a strong likelihood that the bone will heal this exact way naturally anyway. This device is moreso to guarantee it or increase the chance but it dramatizes the natural healing to make it seem more needed. Its sales. Although i agree it couldnt hurt. Anything that increases success should be used when it comes to health but dont beat yourself up for not having it. Most people do without it and have an implant later that lasts a lifetime

Cheeky Lass probably because this isn't proven yet, it needs a lot of trial and error. I know I wouldn't want some prototype shit like this in my mouth and it cause some sort of infection or irregular healing.

Hello. I just had this done after an extraction of the lower right tooth, the one right next to where the wisdom tooth was. I'm now thinking that it was unnecessary, as it might not even be necessary to have an implant or bridge there because it is a back tooth. I saw you posted this a while ago but I’ll still give an answer. I’ve had the same thing done and similar timings in the day. The discomfort will be from the anaesthesia wearing off, I had it real bad but some ibuprofen will usually be enough. nothing to be concerned about unless it persists for the following 3 days after extraction. Hope this helps someone in the same situation because it can be nerve wrecking

My Dentist just stopped during the extraction surgey and told me "i've extracted half of the molar tooth but i can't keep going because the base is fractured".... then he sent me driving to another Doctor who then completed the surgery. Is this shit normal!

Alex Garcia lol me too. I literally ate nothing but applesauce and would ball up pieces of bread and eat that for like a week. I lost 15 pounds in one week and one day I decided not to eat anything AT ALL And I was sitting on the computer and I started to get blurry eyed and began to shake and get weak. I pulled out some applesauce and bread and ate that. Body went into starvation mode or some shit lol

This was done to me after extracting my molar, it was done 18 days ago. The dentist sewed the gum after he did it. I am so worried because my gum still has a hole, it did not close. I suffer from food always going inside the hole. I am using serinj with salted water to clean it and I always flush food from inside it. Is it normal that there is a hole there after 18 days? It may be because your tooth may have caries inside the tooth which may not be visible from out side can only be reveled from radiograph

Hi Daisy! Usually dentists will always try to preserve the natural tooth, so it's very odd for him to remove a tooth that the filling came out of. They sell a product here in the US that you can use to temporarily fill the tooth until you can make it to see your dentist. Also, it never hurts to get a 2nd opinion. I know the post is a cpl years old, but I hope you were able to get everything straightened out with your dentist. Tooth pain is horrible. I just had oral surgery performed on me yesterday after my dentist screwed my tooth up!

How long should someone use the gauze? I was told after the bleeding stops. I stopped using gauze after the first day because the bleeding stopped. The exposed filler started dissolving after 7 days. I guess the filler is only suppose to last a week.
