Don't starve together is one of my favorite games but it's definitely ruthless to beginners. I still hope you guys come back to play more, so here are some beginner tips: - You can search on your crafting menu to easily find items better - Install some mods to make the game easier (global positions, combined status, fire resurrection, no thermal stone durability, and craft pot are some of the best) - Consider making your base in the middle of the map. This would make it easier for you to travel to different biomes - Dig up twigs, grass, and berry bushes, and set them up in one place. This way you won't have to travel far for simple resources. What Kyle did on the berry bushes was perfect, however he still needs to fertilize those using manure (dropped by beefalos) or rot (letting flowers or food spoil). To prevent fires, you have to put an ice flingomatic and lightning rod - Make a crock pot as it'll provide much more hunger than simply cooking your food. Meatballs are one of the easiest recipes which just requires 1 monster meat and 3 fillers (berries or carrots or mushrooms) - When fighting, make sure to equip armor (log suits or football helmet) so you don't die easily - Watch out for the different seasons in game as it changes a lot of gameplay mechanics. For example: you have to deal with cold in the winter, rain in the spring, and heat in the summer. There's a lot more that the game has to offer and it's pretty fun when you reach to that level. The only issue would be surviving because almost everything can kill you 🤣

This kind of game is something that gets better the more you learn how to play both your character and the world. It is better to play with most content enabled(Except wildfires because fuck them). So do not be discourage if you keep dying, it just means that you are doing something wrong and a simple solution is to simply experiment. For tips: Toonz's horned character has souls. It is their main source of food as eating all foods has half the value. Making most foods on him worthless and encouraging him to kill for food. He can eat it by right clicking it. Although if he wishes to gain health, or heal your team he can simply drop the souls near the injured player to heal them. He may also use the souls to soul hap either on screen of by right-clicking on the map. His main weakness is that he is considered a monster and most neutral mobs are mad at him. He also has to balance sanity more than characters as eating souls makes you lose sanity, while dropping gives you sanity. You should try to scout more areas as the soul hop ability is very powerful from traversing via the map, making you able to go back to the base as long as you have sufficient soul in seconds. As for Squirrel's webby character, it is better to base this character away from others if you wish to cultivate an army of spiders. Especially if you wish to farm your spiders. He can also meat monster meat without any penalty, although you should still cook it. And same as Toonz, your character is a monster so most neutral mobs hate him. You have a character specific craft that allows you to make more spider eggs and related items. Most can be discovered on your own. You can sleep inside spider nests if they are big enough. Giving you health and sanity at the expense of hunger, and also making you immune to charlie as long as you are inside. You can make spider nests bigger and spawn more spiders by upgrading them. Either by leaving them for some time, or by usings cobwebs on them. Webber naturally grows silky beard. It gives you a bit of warmth for the cold, but it is often shaved by a razor for its cobwebs, especially in summer. The webby whistle is simply for making spiders come out of the nest ss you wish, as they don't normally come out during the day. You can also hire your webby friends by giving them any kinds of meat. This will convince a group of them to join you for a while, you can see who joined you by the big smile on their face. Be sure to warn other played of your spiders to avoid them from killing your friends, or raiding your nests accidentally. The other character is quite basic, but her has a skill tree that he gets after some time. It can be seen by the eye icon popping on in one of the corners of the screen. It is basically a skillpoint that allows them to spend on skills that gives them new skills or enhance existing features when used by him. He also grows a magnificent beard. Which can be shaved by a razor, or be kept for warmth during winter. You can configure controls on the options menu. You are also able to know the controls this way. For synergies: You can kill your spiders near Toons to get soul. Allowing him to gain near infinite souls. What Squirrel can do is feed one of them meat, and command them to attack their fellow spiders. This will cause a chain reaction and start a war among spiders. Leaving many casualties, and loot. Wilson has no synergies as they are a very self proficient character.

On the subject of bees! Someone did a study on bees and gave them balls to use and they actually starting playing with them just for fun instead of doing the task.

Kill spiders to get webs to make tophat to gain sanity. Put down traps for rabbits and frogs. Every time you kill something you lose sanity. Crockpot recipe have one honey and three meats to get honey ham, monster meat can be added to two morsels or frog legs and be positive food.

Certain clothing, cooking food in the crock pot and sleeping increase sanity. Rain and being near monsters or in darkness decrease sanity.

btw activate caves in ur map or u will miss lot of items+content.. like lanterns in early stages for exemple and caves stuff they always grow doenst matter which season u are in + blue;green mushrooms are abundant... unlike the surface... (bluemush , baconandeggs, and perogi are the best source of hp regen food in this game) for sanity just pick cactus in desertbiome equpwith cheap armor like grassarmor or green mush cooked or just learn how to kill sanity creatures

Controls!!! To make the game more enjoyable. Press “Space” for utility actions. Like collecting materials Press “F” for combat actions. Like fighting them pesky bees n dogs. When pressing the buttons, the character will run to the nearest objective related to the button. It’s good for combat and kiting. Makes the game less like a point and click piece of pain to play.

I have a tip that might help. I would advise making a crockpot to help with food

You can run the fire grabber hands all the way into the dark and it deactivates them.

I'm subbed for this shit let's gooo!! Make crackpot for better foods Also don't pick all flowers left 1 or 2 at least where bees around it so they will respawn for ur sanity That's pretty much set for newbies until you face other season i guess Hope you keep this one as series ❤

If you guys intend on playing more then you'll need to know these few tips. -If you hold space you'll auto farm and collect items, press f to attach enemies and control + f to attack non hostile enemies like butterflies -Its important to have an abundance of sticks n grass for fire n tools -enemies have a pattern of sorts you need to kite them for instance the hounds will try bite you and then bark so you need to dodge the attack by standing still then move when you see the attack animation them f to hit them 2 times then dodge. -when you find a touch stone their will always be 4 pig heads make a hammer to destroy them which will give 2 sticks and pig skin which Is very useful as you can make a football helmet which is a great piece of armour if you can log suit's are good but I'd recommend to have one on hand then equip when you engage in combat that way you can have a backpack and some protection but you will drop the backpack when equipping the suit so make sure its not near fire. Hope you see this and it helps and keep up the good content.

I love this game and the content with it. Im trying to play don't starve together myself however haven't been able to get any of the boys to join with.

Make some traps set them on the rabbit hole and it’ll catch them. And same with the frogs when they chase you guide them to the traps.

Hey squirrel since you're Webber your ability is to not aggro spiders and make them into an army but they will attack other players though. but there is an item called den decorations to make them friendly to others and you can sleep in a tier 3 den

I love DST, been a fan for a long time, but i feel game can be pretty unapologetingly hard for playing in coop for the first time. Unironically i reccomend some quality of life mods like ressing on your own skeleton, and playing on endless. Just to avoid headaches when playing in coop.

I’ve been watching videos of these three playing together for the past 1 or almost 2 weeks. I am honestly convinced that they don’t really like Kyle. In every video he’s kept in the corner (doing only one thing), he gets blamed for the video messing up, they get upset at him over everything and anything even tho they do the exact same thing, they don’t answer him, he gets ignored, he’s constantly apologizing over small shit etc etc like it’s sad Just go have fun with people who actually appreciate you dude
