On episode 278 of Toon Talk Weekly, Jake and Brad try to find home for all the puppies in the world when they watch an episode of the 1986 series “Pound Puppies.”
Pound Puppies was a 1986 cartoon series created by Hanna-Barbera and was based on the popular toy line by Tonka. The series was broadcast on ABC for two seasons and ran for a total of twenty-six episodes.
The series follows popular Pound Puppies characters such as Cooler, Whopper, Bright Eyes, Whopper and Howler and their daily antics helping out dogs who enter the local pound. Together they help other puppies find new homes and also assist owners in finding the right puppy for them.
