    The nano sockets with their wrench is great . Super stubby sockets and excellent replacement for way over priced extra long wrenches .

    I think if you can't do business honestly, don't do business. But there are those with the opposite opinion. You just have to be vigilant as a consumer.

    Good Video. We need split beam torque wrenches to make an appearance on Tool Haul videos. I was watching yesterday’s video from @toolboxtours and they displayed a GTC 505 ignition tester. It’s a very interesting looking tool.

  • @CoyleTools

    @CoyleTools

    It seems like the split beam wrenches are more of an "old school" tool, in that many of the younger techs don't know much about them, if anything at all. Whenever I'm asked about torque wrenches, I mention them, but everyone gravitates toward the click or digital type. That ignition analyzer looks pretty sweet, and a good price, too.

    I have a 1/4” gear wrench digital torque wrench. I store it without the batteries. Every time I’ve used it I have to fiddle with the spring in the cap end to get the thing to turn on. Have you experienced this before with any of the gear wrench line of torque wrenches? Secondly, received the Coyle branded gloves they’re fantastic.

    Thank you for the testimonial on the gloves, I appreciate it! I haven't had any problems with the cap on the wrenches. And I recommend to everyone who buys them to keep the batteries out. So far, so good.

    While the Harbor 6 drawer cart is good for beginners you might want to stock Montezuma's new slide top carts for the more seasoned pros.

    @@CoyleToolsSpace and no slide top. The larger US General is nice but no slide top. Not saying the 6 drawers a bad cart just if you're concerned about competing against it the Montezuma might offer more to a tech that wants that versatility. It would go up against the larger carts out there.

    I’d happen to strongly agree. Our Independant doesn’t even offer any carts or storage at all. If there is one item I’d benefit from payments for it’s a cart. I’ve politely said offer any brand and we’d all buy. He doesn’t even have to carry any on his truck. I’d even go pick it up at his shop if he’d finance

    Glad to hear you are growing. You must be taking good care of your guys. I the the independent guys have a big advantage over the big three in price, brand choice, and availability. I don’t know how some of them stay in business. I have a couple of the gear wrench flex head 90T ratchet and I really like them. I’ve also found Tekton and capri are making nice ratchets as well. I reach for them first ahead of my 35 year old snap on and Proto’s. I still have my click torque wrenches but now I use mac digital wrenches. But I have a soft spot in my heart for my old protos. Still accurate too.

    I think the best measure of a good tool is which ones do you find yourself reaching for without thinking. Those older tools can compare to or beat anything on the market today.

    @@CoyleTools You are right. 30 years of improvement and refinement and best of all, you have options that didn't exist. Those gear wrench are great ratchets. maybe not as strong as those 72T Snapons and Protos but then again if I am pulling that hard that I might break one, I should be using a breaker bar.
