I have already ordered on and want to use it as field charger in combination with my ebike ( I bring that down to 12V ) ....used the m8 since it's out and like it very much so the dual charge version is exactly what I need to have a 6 lipo circle going 👌.

I need to output 170W to each channel simultaneously. What's the wall power supply would be optimal for this device? I am a newbie, can I have your advice?

The B6 Mini Pro is a great charger even though it's quite old now.

How accurate are the reading on the M6D. I had to calibrate my M8 charger myself after i got it. Nice review though!

The voltages on mine were actually spot on with my Fluke multimeter. I've got no way to measure the cell internal resistance accurately. Thanks for watching.

So 5000 mAH should be charged at 5.0V? Also it’s a 2S 7.4V. Do I still charge to 4.2v? Thanks

please measure finished charged lipo with a good multimeter. I need to know, because M8 is a bad cell balancer, every cells get not same voltage at end of charger. And is impossible to calibrate.

Great review just to confirm I’m going to mod a laptop charger to use AC at home it’s output is 19.5 volts 3.3 amp Will that be enough to charge 2x 4s 1500mah for example and could I use a balance board thanks for your help😊👍

I'd say 64W is marginal, but would work if you charge at very low currents. You really need more available input power.

Dang, wish I had known about cheap two channel chargers. My Toolkit M8S single brand new 400w charger cost about the same. I bought a 24v 16.7a server powersupply with it but prefer to use a 17v Dell Laptop power brick instead... as I made several of them... another oen for the DJI goggles, and another one for my TS-100 soldering iron. The 24v server powersupply however came in handy as a 6s bench substitute battery for powering up the quad. I'm going to wire two 12v fans in series with passthrough XT60 connectors and plug that into it as well so whenever I power up the server powersupply with the quad sitting on top, it will power up both fans to blow on the DJI air unit which when sitting still can scramble eggs on it within 5 minutes. The only thing I hate about these chragers will they won't stop charging when they reach the storage voltage. Maybe I'm missing something, or some setting, but I wish once it reached the storage charge, they would just stop charging and then shut off. They won't even give much of a "I'm done series of beep". They beep once which is impossible to hear from some other room, and easy to not hear even if you're int he same room. I was like, WTH, really? That's stupid as h3ll. Give me 10 beeps, then shut off, or something, let me configure it in settings somewhere...

That all sounds a bit odd to me. Like there's a problem with the charger. I've had no issues like that with mine.

I noticed that after it says charge complete it’s still finalizes the end voltage which can sometimes take quite a while. Have you noticed this and is there a way to adjust it.

It's finalising the cell balance. You'll find older batteries will take longer.

I've just got one and the jog wheel is so sensitive that it's a pain to use compared to my isdt q6 of 2 years??

The M6D if you have the budget is the better charger. The M4 Pocket is a great budget charger if funds are low.

You'll need a separate DC power supply 7-28V or use another battery.

hi anyone know if the charge cut off works properly when charging NiMH, a lot of cheapies like the B6 dont work properly! they dont seem to notice the DeltaV peak and keep charging, also can you set a max charge cap for safety?.. cheers

Maybe this is a stupid question, but why would I use a battery to power a battery charger? Surely you would naturally use mains. There are US and EU adapters but none for UK so I have decided to purchase another

That's not a stupid question at all! Using a battery to power a charger can be really useful for charging batteries in the field where mains power isn't available, like during outdoor activities or at remote flying sites. What are the changing orange lights of the cell-numbers for? On my Charger sometimes they are red and simultaneously I recognised a high drop of Amps. I am trying to find out why. So ideas anyone know what they indicate?

They are an indicator of +ve, -ve and zero balance charging. There's no actual values, cos they're just a relative measure of what's going on in a balance charge.

@@WhirlyBloke how do i count the voltage the battery is Gaoneng 7.4v 450mah 80c 2S Lipo, i cannot find 7.4 in m7 charger i divide 7.4 by 2 (2s) = 3.7 (is this the right method?) but there is no 3.7 volt in toolkitRC m7 can u advise ?? thank u so much for helping me about charge current.

@@FhazalFPV If you set the charge voltage to auto in the settings, the charger will set the voltages correctly. But for reference these are the charge voltages: LiPo 1S - 4.2V 2S - 8.4V HV LiPo 1S - 4.35V 2S - 8.7V

Great charger and review but has a 27 day processing time on Banggood! Nah, I'll pass on that one! 😂

I will have to return this via Amazon and get one that is powered by 120 V for here in America. I have no idea what to do with this. Oh well! I was trying to upgrade from a less powerful charger from the same company.
