Yo, tool army isn't here to see you figure everything out the first time. I think most of us are here to celebrate somebody discovering this music. Maybe living vicariously through you a little bit to experience that first listen again as well. Reality is scary. Mortality is scary. The unknown realm of death is scary. Facing it helps us grow and not numb ourselves and be deluded by others easily. Becoming an aware human is difficult. Its a long hard journey thru the depths of the mind, which can be a very scary place. 46 and 2 is about facing this shadow inside ourselves and others and not hiding from it but moving thru it to the other side of it and growing. Tool is about owning up to the darkness inside us and growing from it to be a peaceful and aware warrior.

We get 23 chromosomes from each parent which equals 46. If you get an extra 1 chromosome from a parent you get down syndrome. But what would you get if you got the 24 from each parent. 46 and 2. What kind of humans would we transform into? What technology or mutations that could change our race. We probably won't see it because it's ahead of us.

Jamie Lake-Boyd I actually lost a child to turners syndrome. It has 46 and 2 chromosomes. Sometimes songs are just songs. The rest of that song tho is amazing and about facing the inner pain and emotions and darkness and realizing they aren’t you and move thru them to the other side of life without the traumas.

@@zpe1200 There are theories that Tools albums in order are basically the path of man through the Tree of Life. I kind of feel this way about Lateralus as an album, but it could totally work for their catalog as a whole. You probably already know that the Tree of Life is depicted on Salival, that's how I came across it to even begin studying it.

The guy at the beginning is comedian Bill Hicks , this is no doubt top 3 favorite tool songs, one more thing I keep meaning to tell you if your going to kick everyone's ass might want to start with lead singer Maynard James Keenan almost has a black belt in ju jit su. Keep em coming

I spend so much times just sitting outside painting, stoned, listening to tool. Best band to listen to stoned and best band for me while I create.

Just found your channel because of the "Killing in the name" reaction and found out you're already on your way down the Tool rabbit hole. Nice. Even better: You're really reacting. You're open about your feelings about the songs. You're a fuckin' entertainer, man! I like it! Oh, as someone suggested in the comments, I'd also suggest Lost Keys / Rosetta Stoned. There’s no way to get everything out of a Tool song on first listen.

Poor Mr. video, as a long time TOOL fan would never suggest anyone who is new to the mind of Maynard James Keenan take that ride at 6-7 in the morning. I subscribed after a Tom Macdonald reaction you did #HOG4EVA. But this blew me away that you even considered this rabbit hole but then you stuck with it. I have sooooo much respect for you, even if you never walk the TOOL path again....your openness has my up most respect!

This song is definitely a trip. It's very overwhelming on a first listen. I think if they wanted to try to simulate the feeling of being on a drug trip musically, they pretty well succeeded.

Imagine this song as an acid trip. Then it will all make sense

that brilliant man talking in the beginning of the video is Bill Hicks. he was a great comedian that Maynard (lead singer of Tool) enjoyed, they had actually plans to take Bill on tour with them to be "comedic relief" in between band sets. After Bill's passing, Tool did a "tribute" to him by including him in their Album art and in this song.

I keep watching this video the most. It starts with you getting your trash to the curb on time and ends differently than any other video you’ve done. It’s like you had overdosed on Tool. Haha I loved it! This song also holds a very important place in my heart. The guy talking at the beginning is my all time favorite stand up comedian Bill Hicks. Bill Hicks was one of the most influential people in my life. You should do a reaction video or two on some of his bits. If not then just watch some Bill Hicks on your own personal time. He will enlighten you and bring you to levels you never even knew existed. He was a true pioneer of consciousness. It’s BRILLIANT!

Tool is in my opinion a multi tool. Every song is a tool of many jobs. You can listen to a song and apply it your situation or mind state and use it to see more perspectives. Dont overthink it, but definitely think on it, cheers man

I knew when you picked Third Eye, it wasn't going to go down easy. Not all of Tool's songs are for everyone. Don't give up on Tool because of Third Eye. its one of their crazier songs. I personally love Danny's drumming and of course the last part is classic Tool. There sre so many great songs so please hang in there. Btw. I'm a 65 year old woman and I can handle it. One of the weirdest and coolest parts of this song for me is one of the background noises in the beginning of the song. On acid, whenever I was outside, there was this weird droning noise that was just distant and weird. and I noticed it in this song one time and almost pooped my pants.

I've only recently been introduced to Tool, so I was excited to see your "Tool Tuesdaysss reaction. Although this particular song wasn't my cup of tea, like you, I am very impressed with the musicianship of this band, especially the guitars and the drum. They can definitely PLAY.
