I like JMK but Tool is one of the few rock band that can actually play for hours without vocals and not be boring. Really great musicians. And i am not a proper Tool fan.

To think there are 83 people who took the time to actually dislike this...it just boggles the mind. Maybe they have never experienced a poly rhythm before. One can only speculate. This band is one of a very few groups that still makes music the way they want to. It so stunningly beautiful it makes me feel alive.

Love how this band creates a mood. Love how (most of) this crowd seems to be at attention and not shouting at each other over it. #respect

I was in front of the scene in one off the first sitting rows. From where we were, Maynard was a bit too quiet for my liking. Especially when whole band was going at it... Bit disappointed with that, other than that... Amazing gig.

He seems to be singing again nowadays 😂😉🤣 Who knows maybe it was a little off for him and you that night. That's the beauty tho. These new songs make me think Danny is going for GOAT challenging Neil Peart. I thought he was already there but it could become undisputed after 8/30. Seriously impressive beats.

Danny Carey is perfection personified! I love how he became the focal point (frontman, if you will) of Tool. They’re all beasts in their own right, but I’ll be god damned if they’re not looking to that dude for guidance. That’s always been my favorite thing about these guys: they’re all doing separate things that compliment what their brothers are doing and it blends in the ear beautifully. When Adam and Justin were facing Danny, awaiting their respective cues, I got goosebumps. They know what they’re doing and they know what comes next, but, again, they’re looking to Danny to make sure shit doesn’t go sideways (I’ve Tool a lot - 13-14 times - and I’ve seen them shit the bed, but I’d bet money that Danny Carey never missed a beat... literally and figuratively, and he pulled it back together.) It may not make sense to us right outta the gate, but if you give it enough listens to get it, it’s otherworldly. Shout out to Meshuggah! 😉

The fans have waited so long, and this is incredible. This band is the only one that let's me hear and/or understand something new each time I hear them. Best band I have seen live, most talented musicians going and most relevant band still active today. Can't wait to consume new music as a unit

These guys are clearly one of the best, most talented, and accomplished bands ever. I just wonder if this song is a statement toward it being their last album. Nobody up there is getting any younger and they have nothing left to prove. I have to assume it’s a goodbye of sorts 😔

First concert for me as well, 1996 UCF arena Orlando. I was 16 and my mind was blown. Have been my favorite band ever since, and have sent them live 7 more times over the years. Never disappoint

Its amazing what practice does! The musical solo about 9.30 in is the best yet, so in sync for such a complicated section compared to some of the earlier versions

There's more energy between 9:12 and 10:58 than in the last three albums Metallica released combined. I can't wait much longer for this.

@@thenamesaudie3591 I think he was referring to the new sounds metallica has transitioned to, although hardwired to self destruct had more energy than fear inoculum 5 times over, like you said they are just different.

I was a HUGE! HUGE! HUUUUGE metallica fan, I considered them the best musicians ever.. and then I discovered Tool and it was like a slap in the face. yes metallica are good but they're super tiny in reality. I've been live to both bands, they're both awesome but Tool just wins every time. Tool is basically the reason why my favorite bands suck now

The difficulty of this song for a drummer is off the charts. I am constantly amazed at Danny Carey's ability to 1) effortlessly glide through time changes; 2) play in time signatures that conflict with Justin and Adam; and 3) do all of this while making it sound musical. The technical abilities of Carey as a composer and player are simply astounding.

Justin spiraling out in the beginning makes my heart smile.

Musically, the song feels like a huge tribute to King Crimson’s Discipline. Just awesome!!!!

I could have been there. Knowing this while listening to this beauty and watching these guys perform makes me writhe in pain and pleasure at the same time. I'm so happy I'm alive and a lead to hear this.

2:30 is the most brutal thing Justin has ever played. We may be about to experience the greatest album of all time boys

I love tool since the under tow tune, love that I'm still alive to listen to ther new music, love the fact that they are in a class of ther own and no one can come close to ther style of music!!!

Rhythmic, raw and resonating. The cerebral combatants of collected chaos have melded another masterpiece!

now that I´ve heard the studio version the song makes a lot of more sense live !!

That's why I avoided watching this and descending when they first came out with live video. Not the same. Now that I've actually grasped wtf is going on in these songs I can listen to it lvie and appreciate it

Honestly, as someone who heard this song live first before the album released, I'm underwhelmed by the studio version. It doesn't feel as alive. Drums and Bass are sometimes lost in the mix, especially at that drop in the bridge section.

I don't always thumbs down every video, but when I do, it's not this one.
