I watched and was very disappointed by this show too. As a response to it, I recently started writing my own knuckles focused sonic fanfic. It’s actually a crossover of the Sonic series and GD’s Goten Black. I have been thinking about it for a couple months and I originally was planning for Sonic and/or Shadow being the main focus with Goten Black but after some more careful thought and partially because of this disappointment I have decided to make Knuckles the main focus in the story. First chapter was finished and posted four days ago and I’m gonna start writing the 2nd soon so if you’d like since I know your dyslexic maybe when GD has free time and feels like it she can read you it😁 I think you’ll enjoy the first chapter, like most first chapters it’s mostly set up and it is admittedly a little reference heavy but I think I did a good job especially since I got someone following and favoriting it within 24 hours of it going up
