I finally got this palette and I am IN LOVE with the formula, the three pop shades in this palette are gorgeous if you actually use them correctly, this is such a fantastic warm neutral brown palette ❤

Beautiful look regardless of your disappointing results. I for one prefer using a setting spray when applying "pop-up" shades; TF is not the only brand I need the wet brush for--other brands have beautiful bright shade but usually a powder mess😄 Setting spray is always my safest bet😉😊

Their new sunset strip palette is so good. The shimmers are a completely different formula then these tin pallets and I don’t know why they don’t use it for everything. I can’t stop using the sunset strip palette, surprisingly it’s my favorite of the year!

Too faced, I always love their palettes. Their mattes always perform very well. Their shimmers, however, usually there’s a dud or two in each palette.. so maybe Sugar Rush is the dud in this palette. Try the shade, I’m the Dessert, it’s a beautiful shade! I tried that shimmer on the lid the first time I used this palette and I love it so much that looks can’t make myself use any other shimmer! Lol!

Patty, thank you for doing this review and saving us from having to purchase this to come to the same conclusion you came to. I agree completely about these winter palettes Too Faced has been putting out for years. Last year I went ahead and got the Gingerbread palette, but it was the same old story as there previous winter palettes. Too many of the same colors, too warm with no more neutral colors (I can't really wear the terracotta colors), and the pops of color were a disappointment. However, Too Faced has come out with too of my favorite palettes in the past few years. The Born This Way The Natural Nudes, and the Born This Way Sunset Stripped. Both of those palettes are gorgeous. Stunning. Again, thank you lovely lady for doing these reviews for us. 💕

I think one big problem with too faced is since the makeup industry blew up, so many other options are available at same price point. Their OG customers grew up and moved on to CT, PMGL, ND, etc. Meanwhile, Etude (Korean brand) is basically a copy of old too faced but at 50% of the price which has lured in the tweens/teens who can’t afford 50-80$ but can at the 20-40$ the Korean and Chinese brands sell for. It’s left too faced without a real base and without any changes or innovations, they are just going thru the motions.

I couldn't agree more. In my 20s I used to be a huge Too Faced fan. I almost used their products exclusively. I used to have around 20 palettes of them. Now I have kept 4 (sweet peach, chocolate gold, natural eyes and Boudoir eyes). Mostly for nostalgic reasons. I haven't bought from them since 2019 .Now in my 30s I am a huge fan of Pat Mcgrath and Natasha denona. Their quality and shades cannot be compared.

I really wouldn't call Etude House a copy of TF. They hardly have anything in common other than both releasing make up. Completely different esthetic, packaging, product lines, colour stories, quality.... Etude House always stays on trend and regularly releases colour stories or new products that get imitated by others.

The Peach palette has alot of these colors. Some Natasha Denona shadows need to be dampened to use as well. Here's a challenge for you ... Don't mention Pat McGrath for at least 2 videos. If she does another "Rose" palette I'm going to scream!!!

Ohhh I almost bought this- mainly bc the last time I bought a too faced pallets was 6 years ago with Peach and I was so in love- was kinda hoping for that again! But honestly now I get the charlotte tilbury holiday pallet every year and nothing compares for me

Two Faced and UD are both sticking to bygone colour stories and formulas. In any business, there is a need to keep moving forward and to stay ahead of any trends. Sadly, Two Faced hasn't done either of these and they're fast becoming irrelevant. Why is this palette - a) 18 shades and b) $54? It is totally beyond me!! It could easily have been an eight pan palette retailing for $30. That said, I still would've bought it. Well Patty, you really tried was this one and the looks weren't "terrible" at all, because of the rubbish formula, they just weren't great. Lots of love 💜❣💜❣💜❣💜

I must say I was very pleased with the gingerbread extra palette.

I used to love too faced palettes but they are all so similar. I got the last one but I don’t even reach for it at all. The formula doesn’t even excite me. I may have used it a hands full of times only. I seen this palette in person but even so I didn’t get that wow effect. I swatched it too and even then I’m like no I’m good. All eyeshadow haven’t been giving me that wow factor. Only 1 did and that’s the Patrick Ta new palette but not to the point that I feel the need to wanna pay that much for it. The only products that gives me butterflies in my stomach and feel the need to have it is blushes & highlighters and bronzers lol!

The third look is beautiful ♥️

Pat Mgrath always makes my eyes water, no matter what i do or use. Sadly i have a lot of her palettes before figuring that out

The last Too Faced palettes I bought are the Born This Way palettes, which of course I don't need but they're lovely lightweight neutral palettes. I really like their matte formula and they're perfect for everyday but I do think their shimmers are a little lack lustre. Neutral palettes with a couple of pops of colour are my jam but I feel like Too Faced is expensive enough that they should be able to nail their formulas. There are cheaper brands with more impact and they've been around long enough to have had the time to perfect their products.

Use them wet with setting spray! That solves every problem.

Like, if you've already got it, sure, apply with fingers or use a wet brush but why buy it when you can get much better quality shadows at the same price or less? I just feel like TF have been around long enough to have perfected their formulas by now. They're pretty but not worth the money or effort.

Everyone says the born this way palettes are their best quality. I haven’t ever owned any of their palettes in the tin packaging but it seems way too expensive for what you get. For that price you shouldn’t have to wet them for them to perform when you could just buy a Natasha Denona palette with great quality and not to have to wet your brush once or get any fall out. That’s just my opinion.

This palette attracts me a lot, but I'll wait to see it in store. I think the brand is a little bit overwhelmed by all the competition on the market. An 18 pans palette with "basic" shades makes no sense since we pretty much have all of them already, and it's a shame they didn't change the formula. Thank you for your honest review, as always! How are you liking the jacklyn hill eye shadow primer?

Thank you for such an in depth and genuine review. I would try this palette out using a different eyeshadow primer. Drawing from experience, I purchased the ColourPop “Twist of Slate” and used the urban decay primer potion but was not impressed with the pigment especially because ColourPop shadows are usually very pigmented but on a different occasion I used the Rare Beauty eyeshadow primer with the same palette and immediately noticed a huge difference. Might be worth a shot 😊

Thanks for doing the looks. This palette reminds me of the original chocolate bar mixed with the Semi Sweet one, a lot of the darker brown colors in this palette look very similar to each other. I like the third look. This is a pass for me.

I was interested too but looking at your swatches, it looked so monochromatic compared to what’s on the pan, and for a 18 shades palette!! For a similar price point, ABH is sooo much better.

Thanks Patty! I actually got it with an ulta coupon for platinum members. Too Faced was the first high-end palette I bought it was the original chocolate palette. I think Too Faced, UrbanDecay, Smashbox need to hire some influencers to help come up with creative things to keep up with the makeup industry otherwise the brands will go down. I know inflation has caused makeup to go up but now there are really good indie brands like Clarity Cosmetics and Ofra. They're trying to make money off the same thing. There was one youtuber who still has her chocolate bar palette and compared how they are different. I give those 3 about 5 years max before they go under unless they make some changes and hire someone or creative development.

Dear Patty, when you first swatched the shades, they looked quite different to what I saw in the palette. Yet, when you used them, they did seem to morph together without much difference. You're right, technology has moved along and I got terribly upset earlier this year when I had to buy a setting spray for the first time ever, which we shouldn't have to do, just to keep two different shadows from falling from my lids.🇦🇺💖🕊

Normally I get sucked into the Too Faced tins. But this palette doesn’t do it for me. You always do really nice looks though!!

I see this palette and I have all the Gingerbreads, Peach, Semisweet... I think is a new version of the Semisweet (almost 8 years ago) and yes, it's exactly the same formula as always. The best eyeshadow formula of Too Faced is the Born This Way 1 and 2 formula. It's so good!!! But Christmas palettes and all of this are trash nowadays for the price. Same as ColourPop as you said... So sad they don't improve, like Urban Decay... :( Thanks to you I'm going to be strong and don't buy it, I love chocolate and brown color stories but I don't need this in my life. I prefer save money and buy the new Natasha's this autumn. Thank you, I LOVE your videos so much 😘😘😘

The issue I have with two faced is u can barely see the shimmer colours after applying on the lid. I have an issue with a few of their palettes for that reason. Their packaging is always beautiful although

Their Cold Smolder mini palette is a great cool-toned option! Sigma also came out with a "Cool Neutrals" palette

I think Too Faced has beautiful eyeshadow formulas, and I’m addicted to that chocolate smell, but I’m not vibing with the packaging, I wish it looked like a chocolate bar, and that color story is nothing special. I’d skip this even if I wasn’t on a no-buy, but the formula is probably really nice.

They're pretty looks but it isn't something I would grab I used to have the original chocolate 🍫 palette 🎨 back in the day but they're slacking

My English is bad but I must say : I have the Hudabeauty naughty palette so I don't need this one. The shadows are similar.😬🥺 This is my opinion , and it's a big shame because I like Too Faced but your makeup look is very nice 👍

I liked the last look the most. Too Faced is so hit and miss. And the price tag is too high. The last one I bought was the Teddy Bear pallet and it’s good, but not full price good. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It seems like they rely more on packaging rather than the eyeshadows themselves. It's always a version of a "safe" neutral look, a formula which no one really complains about, but no one raves about either - copy/paste etc. It's like the make up development version of hell, where you have to reinvent the same product for all eternity!😄 I guess the "Better than..." is to Too Faced what "Naked" is to Urban Decay.

I can only imagine all these similar looking pallettes are meant for the first time too faced buyer rather than a collector. Maybe it's time to stop buying pallettes without looking closely at what we already have

I trust your reviews...I have not gone wrong with your suggestions. This one is a pass...too many browns and I love a stunning Shimmer shade, this pallette seems to be lacking any standout shimmer. I will stick with Pat McGrath, Natasha Denona, Patrick Ta and Odens Eye✨✨✨✨

The blue will never be as blue as it is in the pan if you are placing it over a brown shadow base. It will just make mud.

This palette just ... I don't understand why they released it. It looks so much like the past few (Cinnamon Roll), and it's not an improvement on the OG chocolate bars, which I love. It's almost like they decided to release something just to release something.

The color story is pretty, but Too Faced just hasn't been peaking my interest whatsoever. I have only tried 3 of their palettes and I wasn't blown away with either of them.

For me, once you go Natasha Denona you can't ever go back! I used to love Too Faced but they are falling pretty hard, in quality and inovation.

Too Faced is only good for their complexion products...Their concealer is THE BEST, even if you're not a fan of full coverage. Nothing outside of their complexion items are worth the money.

Imo this is ridiculously overpriced and fell very short in quality. I love most of the chocolate palettes but this one is a definite no. Very disappointed.

Most pallets theses days, we find repeated orange/brown colors. The makeup industry got stuck on these rusty brown colors so if you buy one palett stop spending on more because the6 all look the same.

Dang it. I don’t need this but the “collector” in me wants it. IF this goes on sale for Black Friday and if i have Ulta rewards dollars I’d use it for this.. the fact they went up from $49 to $54 is disappointing.. but inflation, I get it.

I did buy and like the Born this Way, so decluttered all the rest, except the Hot Buttered Rum mini. After Natasha Denona, Pat McGrath, Adept and Sydney Grace, I can pass on these buildable pallets. 🥱🥱🥱
