I'm always surprised how much Michael's death upsets me. I never knew him, he was dead before I heard of him, but I feel like I knew him. Heartbreaking

Donna is in great form for this....20+ years AFTER she originally did the work! Saw both shows on Broadway --- life changing!

Actually about 12-13 years, as the show opened in April 1975 and this memorial took place in September 1987.

If you wanna get technical, the Dreamgirl on the left was not the original. Her name is Terry Burrell and she replaced her real-life sister, Debbie Burrell, who originated that role.

On opening night of Dream girls MB gave Jennifer Holiday diamond earrings and the other 2 stars belt buckles.
