I've learnt so much more than was taught in school or heard in my 66 years living here.

Same here, in my 62 years :) Cheers.
No one ever finishes the story of Burke and Wills. There was an Irishman with them who actually completed that journey and made it back to Melbourne, and was the first man to traverse the country from south to north and back again. That man was John King.

@ 30:20 "I probably shouldn't say this here" you were not wrong Tony 😂 Love your work, very interesting and informative show.
Rise up Aboriginal Australia
For anyone wondering about "Batmania", yes it's true, and the guy's name was actually "Batman". There's actually a place in Melbourne still called Batman, and it's always funny after election time when you see billboards exclaiming "Thankyou Batman!".
Rules for emigrating to Australia: 1) Bring interesting food 2) We dont give a crap about your religion, keep it to yourself 3) your kids are gonna be 100% Aussie, so the quicker you adapt the better. Simple.
Native 🇦🇺 Australians are great people.
As an American, this makes me want to watch Quigley down under.
He's Back!
From memory reckon John King also lived with a tribe of aborigines so clearly he adapted to the indigenous tucker than Burke and Wills
Veterans of the American Revolution? A 16 year old in 1783 would have been at least 88 and likely 89 in December of 1854.

There might have been veterans from the Eureka Stockade in the American Civil war 😂 But wrong war and wrong way around. Quite the mistake

Do you spend your life whinging about everything?
And as always none of this is taught in public schools in Australia...!
So the Chinese were honest workers, not copying or cutting out others, unlike today😂😅 rigghhhht. Their whole economy is based on copying and making cheaper ie TEMU!
im sorry but the dictation test is such a bogus bs test
Pity the English dont listen to their own words😂 indigenous lands are protected from foreign migrants etc, except when you are European.... according to the UN?
Whitewashed.
And we’re all wishing the white Australia policy was still in place

What a lot of historians and the general public don't know , is ned kelly and his friends were the result of the ureka Stockdale , ned kelly was a revolutionary , he and his people , the ones that harboured him , Dan, & Joe burn , in the standoff at the glenrown hotel, were ambushed , then shot up , and finally burnt to death , by the police , it way to send a message to the rest of the Australian Irish comunity that the British is the biggest gang in town , and another unreported fact , is certain police whom new ned acted in self defence , where threatened if they ever spoke about the truth , this was documented .
