One thing I would say on the Tony angle is that we know so much about the behind the scenes in wrestling that, for me, it's very hard to take these angles seriously. And before anyone calls me biased, I'd like to add that I had the same issue with Rock and Cody.

Sting would be such a great idea as authority figure the last match he defeated the Bucks, the Bucks ironically lost but claimed they retired him since it was his last match, there would be a story there and I would buy a ticket thing Sting as a face of authority on AEW television.

Nobody's gonna say it? Jimmy are you Dom's dad? You look like him on that younger picture of you. We might have an angle here. 😂

TONY KHAN CAN DO NO RIGHT. IF WWE RAN THE SAME EXACT STORY ON THE SAME EXACT NIGHT, WWE FANS AND SCHMUCKS LIKE BISCHOFF WOULD CALL THE ANGLE BRILLIANT. THERE IS A DOUBLE STANDARD THAT HAS BECOME LAUGHABLE. TONY KHAN IS DOING A TREMENDOUS JOB AND THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING ANOTHER OPTION TO WATCH AND FOR MAKING THE WRESTLING BUSINESS BETTER

wrt Cody seemingly taking offense to Toni's comments, I think they are justified. Because Cody winning was a very personal moment, and while I wasn't a fan of them breaking the 4th wall by him calling HHH and Prichard to the ring, it was still a personal moment. Imo, somethings in wrestling should be left alone and not taken jabs at.

I don't watch AEW, so from an outsider's perspective, I thought the Tony Khan angle was good, but the Punk video made Perry look so weak that I have no urge to tune in.

how exacly did the video made perry look weak exacly?? did he try to fight punk no, did he try to hit punk back no, personally the video made punk look like a coward socker punching someone while he was fixing hes hair then proceeding to grab him by the hair like dude wat is this high school, it is more interesting how perry was the one being held back rather than punk. sorry but this did not made punk look tough. an as for perry just bc he didnt fight back doesnt mean hes weak, he showed more character than punk did

I don't get this. How is someone being sucker punched weak. I grew up in South Central LA and we called that a bitch move.

I get the view on the Perry situation, but I think the important part that Perry’s character hinges on is the fact he didn’t fight back, yet was punished for 8 months. That feeds into the scapegoat character persona. I agree that Perry can look weak, but do you expect to get into a one sided fight and you get in trouble? There’s more context but that’s the angle they are taking for him

@@kimchi2780 exacly, I grew up in some of the bad areas in chicago wat punk did is wat we call a b move, the other that no one mentions how perry was not even faced by punk dude literally was more concern about fixing hes hair than punk being in hes face, i dont recall perry backing down or trying to run

@og-ew7pw he also made another hood sin, marched over and got in someone's face when they weren't expecting it in front of friends. After watching RVD speak about Punk it's obvious Punk thinks he knows everything and is untouchable. He's a narcissist.
