I personally feel THUG, THUG 2, and THAW are tied for the best. They all had decent stories, some incredible locations, huge variations of tricks, great RPG elements, and the creator modes were fucking awesome. Plus each one of these three introduced unique and interesting elements unheard of in the Pro Skater games. THUG had driveable cars and the ability to walk, THUG 2 had an incredible story with special characters who had different vehicles with tricks of their own, and THAW of course introduced the idea of one immersive world without loading screens between levels (even though the routes between locations were just loading zones). I've played through almost every Tony Hawk game more than once and those were the best in my opinion. Each game is so different than the others it's near impossible to pick one.

I like how you go from a small time with a douche for a "friend". I believe his name was Eric or something. You then travel the world and in the end, beat him on a sick line in your neighborhood, the same one the game began in. Sweet memories man.

@@Lbp36 I have THPS HD on PS3 and it's not a bad game. Feels like THPS2 to me. Not as good as Underground, Project 8 or Proving Ground, but the actual feel of the game, the way the tricks were pulled off and overall mechanics, are way more comfortable and polished than THPS5...

Me at 14 years old and only school to worry about. Spent Sundays at a mates house on this after you've been out out your parents through the day to do the family stuff. The opening credits to this and music really take me back. Having to call house phones, 56k Internet that you weren't allowed on because it cost money. Those were the good days. The free days as a kid with no idea what life is about to throw at you. The biggest being deep down missing those days you were currently in.

This game was the shit. I remember staying up late playing this and waking up early to play it some more.

I remember getting this game for my bday back in 2003 and was so hyped to play it. I smelt the case like 100 times and played it every morning, evening, and night. I must of completed the story like 50 plus times. Underground 2 was the same Also, this game introduced me to Bam Margera.

Man, I remember the hype regarding the fact you could actually get off your board and walk around, climb etc. plus the addition of a story. These were huge additions over the previous games.

Ahhh, the sweet embrace of nostalgia. What a legendary game. Been skateboarding for 15 years thanks to this game

What a classic, my only flaw with this game is the fact it has an ending. But even then; the ending where you punch Eric is sweet satisfaction.

I should've never sold my Gamecube, now I'm gonna have to go and buy a PS2 and Underground, Underground 2 and American Wasteland, you never know what you've got until it's gone.

Storyline wise, this is one of my favourite games ever.

THUG and THUG 2 takes me back to the good times of my childhood. Sometimes I wish I could go back
