Didn’t realise he star’d in so many movies.....he definitely had a stellar movie career.

I've seen many movies with Tony Curtis, but the ones I liked most, were: "Some like it hot"; "Operation Petticoat"; "Sex and the single girl" and "The great race". Of course, there are also many that I haven't seen. Thanks for the reminder.👌👏❤💐

Nice updated page. I have seen 15 of the Tony Curtis movies listed. 16 overall. Seen all of the Top 10...with the exception of #9 Trapeze. Favorites include #5 Operation Petticoat, #2 Spartacus, #6 The Vikings and #8 The Boston Strangler. I like #1 Some Like It Hot....but I have never thought it was the funniest movie....and I know it has the title of being the Best Comedy of All-Time. He like Michael Caine was a master story teller. I have spent many hours listening to his interviews on You Tube. What a career he had. Voted up and shared.

Hi Bruce, Flora's tally 19, mine 17 and yours 15 from this list. What was the one you saw that I didn't include? I'm guessing Bad News Bears in Japan. :) Yep Some Like it Hot is no.1 again, not one of your favorites but I've seen it so many times, always makes me laugh. I read his biography, he was close friends with Sinatra who wasn't always very nice to him and would make disparaging remarks about Tony in front of others. I think he was envious of his good looks. If I'm not mistaken, Tony Curtis had a bit part as a soldier in "Winchester '73" (1950), with a rating of 8.32.

Great movie about the great escapist Harry Houdini, great performance by Tony Curtis intervening in spectacular scenes. Trapeze 1956 Great movie from the great director Carol Reed. I think it is one of the best films I have seen about the circus. With great performances from the three leads, Burt Lancaster, Tony Curtis and Gina Lollobrigida. Intervening in very spectacular scenes on the trapeze, I believe that Burt Lancaster was never dubbed in those scenes. Sweet Smell of Success 1957 Alexander Mackendrick. I think this film is a masterpiece of cinema with impressive performances by Burt Lancaster and Tony Curtis, it is a really tough film on journalism, it is highly recommended for moviegoers. The Vikings 1958 Richard Fleischer. One of the best adventure films I have ever seen, with very spectacular scenes and with a great performance from the four protagonists, Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis, Ernest Borgnine and Janet Leigh. Some Like It Hot 1959 Billy Wilder. One of the greatest comedies of all time, Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon are truly impressive in this great movie. Spartacus 1960, Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece with an impressive cast for me is one of the best Roman films in the history of cinema, perhaps for me only surpassed by Ben-Hur 1959. The Great Race 1965 Blake Edwards. Spectacular comedy with great performances by its stars Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood, Jack Lemmon and Peter Falk. The Boston Strangler 1968 Richard Fleischer. Great film by this great director with a cast of luxury, Tony Curtis, Henry Fonda and George Kennedy. The truth is that Tony Curtis' performance is impressive in this movie, showing what a great actor he has been.

Epic post Marco, cheers! When people ask me what my favorite film is I usually say it's Ben-Hur, when I was young it was Enter the Dragon or maybe Jaws. or even The Omega Man, movies I've watched many times. I was a huge Charlton Heston fan back then. But Spartacus is certainly near the top of my all time favorites, in the top 10, maybe top 5. Tony Curtis was an underrated actor, he showcased his talents in diverse films like The Defiant Ones, Sweet Smell of Success and Some Like it Hot. Thanks again for commenting, always appreciated.

I have seen 19 Tony Curtis movies. Again, this is a lower total than I expected. This is probably because those I have seen I have seen often. The lowest ranked film I have seen is Goodbye Charlie. Houndini is the only movie he made with Janet Leigh I have seen. Favourite movies are Some Like It Hot, Spartacus, The Defiant Ones, Operation Petticoat, Captain Newman MD, The Great Race, Trapeze, The Rat Race, Sex and the Single Girl, and Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies. Favourite posters and stills are his portrait with Janet Leigh, from Some Like It Hot, Spartacus, Sweet Smell of Success, Operation Petticoat, The Vikings, The Great Race, The Boston Strangler, Trapeze, Captain Newman MD, Taras Bulba, The Prince Was a Thief, The Perfect Furlough, Johnny Dark, You Can't Win 'Em All, Son of Ali Baba, The Purple Mask, and the final portrait.

Hi Flora, I'm not far behind I've seen 17 of the 50, probably more when I was younger, my father enjoyed swashbucklers and my mother was a Tony Curtis fan. My favorites include - Spartacus, Taras Bulba, The Vikings, Trapeze, Sweet Smell of Success, The Defiant Ones, The Great Race and Some Like it Hot.
