I know this might be a bit of an unpopular opinion but I actually think Yaya Toure was a better player than KDB. The guy was just out of this world and I think it's so wrong as to how city have not really given him the full recognition that he deserves.

These awards including the Ballon Dor are more of a PR stunt. The player that is going to make sponsors more money will win it. For example, Jude Bellingham is more marketable than Vini Jr., even though Vini Jr. performed better than Jude in KOs. Jude is more likely to win it. Vini Jr. has the most UCL KOs G/A since 2021, he also has 13 KO assists at 23 when Messi only had 12 throughout his career. But Vini doesn't get that PR because the kid is a lot less marketable. Just like that KDB is a humble, calm, and introverted guy who thrives in the shadows and isnt marketable. So sponsors ignore him.

Good to see you've copied and pasted the latest buzz term on KZread comment sections for those who want to convince themselves Foden doesn't have incredible talent - 'system player'. Anyway, yeah its the system that just happens to make him currently the best performing player in the most dominant team this league has seen. In fact it was the system that ripped the top corner from 20 yards in the Bernabau as well as his 24 other goals and 21 assists this season.
