Tony Abbott hails Australians for rejecting Voice to Parliament

Former prime minister Tony Abbott reacts to the defeat of the Voice to Parliament referendum.
Sky News Australia called the failure of the Voice to Parliament referendum after projecting the majority of states to vote No.
“It was always a terrible mistake on a subject as sensitive as this for the Prime Minister to put something to the people that was always likely to fail,” he told Sky News Australia.
“What has happened tonight is the Australian people have voted for equality and against separatism and that is the right thing that the people have done.”
Mr Abbott also hailed Warren Mundine and Jacinta Price’s efforts in pushing the No vote.

Our next challenge is in May next year when our Government and all 194 UN Member countries must agree or disagree on the WHO Planned-demic Treaty, giving the Globalist controlled “WHO” sovereignty over our Nation. I do care about what the other UN controlled Governments do about this evil proposal, But I stand against the Bill Gates Foundation being the most significant financial investor in the WHO, along with Black Rock, Amazon etc; these globalist Monsters pay 83% of funding for the now corrupt “WHO” the remaining 17% is paid for by taxpayers of UN Member Countries, please consider the implications of the WHO ordering our Governments, Councils, Police and Military, these globalist Monsters intent on Massive Global Human population reduction by 2030, I doubt you have even heard about the coming UN vote in May 2024, the WEF controlled MSM will not inform you of the proposal against Human Rights.

Our land is populated by people that have come from all across the seas seeking a better life for ourselves and our families. We have worked hard since 1967 to have an egalitarian and equal society for all. It is still a work in progress. Unfortunately, we have sectors in our society that would like to divide us by race and dare I say by creed and by color. Morally good Australians have now put them down! He should absolutely resign. He tried to divide the country by race. Australia is a multicultural society and everyone already has a 'voice' in parliament. Everyone is supposed to be treated equally. He had no business pushing his yes campaign down our throats. It is not his place nor the place of celebrities, sports people etc to try to influence the decision of others. We are more than capable of reading the information available ourselves and making up our own minds and don't need to be spoon fed and treated like idiots. The fact that there was no clear explanation of any details of how a yes vote would affect us all in years to come and how far reaching the implications would be was concerning. You can't ask the population to vote for something and say you'll work out the details later. People have a right to make an informed decision.

We are at the stage I like to refer to as "the shiniest of two turds". Albo didn't so much get in by being a great candidate - he got in because Morrison happened to be the less shiny turd. As for Mr Abbot, he was protested out and backstabbed by his own party. Within just a couple months of being elected he had to propose a budget that was met with immediate demands for a 'no confidence' vote and protestors marching in the streets. His popularity continued to fall due to multiple smear campaigns and articles targeting his failings. By February 2015, just 16 months after he came into power, his own party attempted a leadership spill to remove him from power. This was followed by heavy criticism of his ideas that we did not need to change the marriage laws to allow for same-sex marriage and in September 2015 another leadership spill was made by his party, ultimately removing him from power. After all that, why would he want to come back?

After the PM spent $365 million on a campaign did not win. Maybe he should’ve spent the 365 million on a infant care wing for SA instead of sending all major problems to Melbourne

A huge relief for all Australians. My stress levels have decreased. All Australians can now move forward. The government can now focus on why the existing aboriginal voices aren't working and where all the money is going.

All the money? You mean OUR money. They are given so much opportunity yet most abos waste it. Those that break from it end up doing better than everyone else because of all the extra benefits they get
