I have a good jawline and my face structure is triangular. My body fat is pretty low too since I'm skinny, so my face is relatively flat, I have a tiny chubby cheeks rn but that's because I haven't drank enough water this past two months and my salt intake has been high these past two weeks.

My jawline is more pronounced as well. I had orthodontic braces twice, one when I was very young and another when I was in my 23, maybe my teeth's position is best suited for this thing, since my teeth is in good alignment to begin with. nick kerinklio I feel you! I saw some lady on some website who did the same thing for two years and she's made a massive improvement! It even corrected the space in her occlusion. I started a couple of weeks ago and I'm been meaning to redo/take proper pictures as well. How often did you keep practicing? Because sometimes I keep forgetting to always keep it up there. I'm going to take proper pictures before I really start to commit to it again.

topangel101 The longer I do it for, the more consistently I do it. At first I had to work hard at just keeping my mouth closed, but now that just comes naturally. Things like swallowing correctly and proper tongue posture were the hardest for me to achieve, but once I've gotten used to all that I hardly have to think about it anymore. My face is just improving on its own now. Things like chewing hard gum helped with strengthening my jaw to keep my mouth closed. Things like repeatedly swallowing small amounts of water helped me practice swallowing correctly

In layman's term: Chewing gum the normal way may improve jawline but it may have some side effects, esp. those who have their tongue between the teeth at rest. It is recommended that you improve the muscle tone of the tongue, the way you would exercise to get muscles. Dr. Mew has come up with an exercise/term called "tongue chewing" where you squeeze and flatten a before big ball of gum onto the palate. You must spread/squeeze the gum as thin and flat as possible on the the roof of your mouth. You must roll the gum into a ball after squeezing it then squeeze it again until it's flat. You must repeat over and over again. If you do this, like Dr. Mew you would have a more expanded palate only after 40 minutes of tongue chewing. If anyone wanna correct or add smth I've missed, feel free to reply to this message! I plan to comment "in layman's term" comments under the Orthotropics videos because not only it would summarize what I've learned from the videos but also help other people who find what the Mew duo's say a bit difficult.

I'm hoping this helps anybody who has struggles learning this exercise through the video alone. 1. To the best of your ability, keep your lips closed together during the entire exercise. Don't clench your teeth during this exercise, lest you injure your tongue or jaw muscles. 2. Use your tongue to apply pressure against the roof of your mouth. Focus on spreading your tongue wide in order to evenly distribute pressure. 3. Also focus on applying this pressure to the smoothest area in the roof of your mouth. 4. While maintaining this equal pressure, you must stroke your tongue along the entire smooth area in the roof of your mouth. 5. If this exercise is overstimulating, you might use chewing gum to soften the friction between your tongue and mouth. I hope this helps!

I can’t begin to express how grateful I am to have stumbled upon this video 5 years ago and decided to implement it every day since. I also cannot begin to express how grateful I am to you for your work and for getting this information out there. My face has been transformed. I was definitely a mouth breather, and when I wasn’t mouth breathing I would keep my teeth apart, and tongue and the bottom of my mouth. I started with a lot of fat under my jaw and hardly any definition, a recessed chin, hardly any cheekbone definition. Just a droopy, very downward sloped and rounded face in general. I could also rarely breathe through my nose. It’s definitely been a process, and it’s taken a lot of breathe right strips and persistence but mewing has given me a sharp jawline, a chin with good projection, and high cheekbones(along with many more changes in my bone structure). These aren’t slight changes, either. I have family living abroad that hadn’t seen me since before I started, and with having no prior knowledge of me having done this they said they wouldn’t have recognized me if I walked past them on the street. I look back at the before photos and videos I took 5 years ago and I don’t recognize myself at all. Thank you again

I looked this up because my friend has an extremely weak jawline + crowded teeth which he said was from breathing out of his mouth and I didn't really believe that these habits could cause a change in facial appearance but after watching your videos I am amazed and fascinated! If you did, what did you find? would you ever consider teaming up with a chiropractor on your research?

Very interesting stuff. I just found this by accident. I'm a weight lifter and was taught that proper posture for the head while lifting weights is created by having the tongue up pressed against the roof of the mouth. Unfortunately I tend to press only the tip of the tongue against the palette, which is wrong. I see that Dr. Mew has a very strong face. Although possibly that visual is created because his overall level of body fat is very low. I need to watch more videos here and of course subscribe. This is very very interesting stuff... Thank you.

Always try to involve the whole body, like the neck for example, in accomplishing tongue sweep/"bringing-together of teeth, and lips", so that nothing gets "locked in" .. Invariably the bodily adjustments are classic "healthy" (eg a lifting of the head that straightens out the back of the neck, an opening of the chest, and bearing down of the feet etc..

Other than that I am nose breathing when i'm conscious and doing 'hard mewing' 20 mins to 1 hour per day. Today is my first day trying tongue chewing. i'm also losing body fat and getting quite lean. I think I developed poor tongue posture from too many hours in front of a computer and even my parents have mentioned I breath loudly through my mouth when I play, coupled with this i also broke my nose a couple years back which made me resort to breathing purely through my mouth. However, i still have a very pronounced jawline but I do lack cheekbone development which makes my current goal to hollow out my cheeks. Will keep ya'll updated

As we draw closer to the apocalypse. I just want to ask you If you were to die today, are you 100% sure you're gonna go to heaven? You see, God is a holy God that is why he wont allow a single sin into heaven. He has to punish sin with a burning hell for eternity. But that doesn't have to be that way in your case. He came here as Jesus. He died for your sins so you can have the free gift of salvation from God. All you have to do is put your trust on what Jesus Christ did on that cross. Nothing else will save you but Jesus. Water baptism wont save you. Going to church, reading your bible. Nothing else will but only the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless your soul...

I had braces due to a severe open bite because I was always a mouth breather growing up and when i swallowed, my tounge would push towards my teeth. After braces my bite opened up again and thankfully I found this video to further prevent it. Hopefully the bite will close.

I'm just now watching this guy's videos. I've been doing this stuff my whole life. Always thought these were bad habits of my over active tongue.

@@lilxrarry you can accomplish this by: 1.
