i always liked the way Kenta played but i have never seen him this aggressive, tricky and tactical. fantastic to watch and i must admit even more entertaining as Xu Xin and i never thought i would say this. watching this reminds me why i love this game.

Kemta is my favorite player since I started playing 7 years ago. Just when I thought it is over for him, kenta recovered back at it again! As soon as he stop doing pendulum serve he started to get some victory. I want to see those serve again, so sad it is not practical now.

Saw no dislikes and I knew who won already 🙄

Masterful match from Matsudaira, used his full bag of tricks. Matsudaira played with placement and good variation, and kept Harimoto from getting into his groove. Particularly notable was his forehand flick - now a lost art in the banana era. He also served well and usually kept the ball tight. And when he got the chance to forehand loop, Matsudaira was able to do recover fast for the next one, keeping the advantage and preventing Harimoto from countering.

Haven't seen that chop block for a while! Good game Kenta-san.

Great game. Been waiting for Kenta to show his skills after some epic matches he had with Ma Lin some years ago, both very good players but Kenta has played and held his own against the likes of the great Ma Lin and Xu Xin, great to see him on track again.

I love Matsudaira's play style, fast and at the same time killer, and polite unlike his opponent... exciting match (where is Matsudaira's signature serve?)

Experience. That is what make them different. Good game boy. Don't give up. Even ma long lose so many times against wang hao. Only then, ma long can be a world champion.same goes to fan zhen dong. Believe in hard work. It will be payoff sooner or later.

amazing performance by kenta, lots of variations, and (to me a bit surprising) quite hard and effective forehand tops and flips. but i fear this won't work against xu xin, who will play tactically quite similar as against niwa, with tons of underspin, so kenta can only do soft topspins to be killed by xu. underspin- and sidespinblocks won't be a problem for xu xin aswell.

Kenta plays so much more aggressive now. Great backhand, great forehand, mostly close to the table. He's always been one of my favorite players. Great seeing him play that well again. Harimoto's screaming is getting absurd. Three years ago nobody said anything because he was so young, but as he's getting older, it's getting more and more ridiculous.

The (1/2) always confuses me on these videos. I am still looking for the second part!

It's awesome but it's meager compared to the beautiful touch play that Kenta showed in this game. A series of soft inside-out forehand flicks and a couple of well-prepared chopblock, such an intriguing scheme.

松平建太初出道時曾經給人很多驚喜，特別是對馬林的那場球，搞得馬林很被動，但是很快就變得平庸了，好幾個日本選手都是這樣，現在的張本和平野美宇也有步松平建太后覆的趨勢。我看還是與日本國家隊的教練的能力有關，無法給好的苗子進一步提高的訓練。
