My parents came to the UK in 1950s from Ireland and Jamaica. Both nurses in the NHS. They love this country, didn't try to force their beliefs on anyone, and fully embraced British culture. Together we stand. Tommy visited to help a disabled child here In Portsmouth. I wish I knew but he never announced it as he doesn’t need crowds to perform his acts of charity. I walked the Black mountains 3 times, also walked parts of the usk & visited Llandridnod wells. Unfortunately my hill-walking days are over. Luckily our pub sells Welsh beer, Brains, a few times a year. We visited also when you had the first 24 Hour pubs in the UK, we were soaking wet and were sure the pubs were shut but it was a great surprise & probably saved our lives, to get warm in front of a big fire. The trains from here go directly to Cardiff & I went there for the wedding of a Welsh girl who was a friend of my wife. I remembered the Brains, but not the wedding!
