Another fun stat I like to bring up is how Jordan shot 49.1% field goes for his career but in the clutch he shot 50%. He actually shot 1% better with the game on the line than he did. Any other point in the game for his career

Roy Williams said Michael Jordan ran the 4.3 at North Carolina. How people think LeBron is as fast as Mike is beyond me. But Jordan's greatest physical gift isn't his speed or his vertical leap. It's the size of his hands combined with his grip strength.

The Jordan Rules made it more difficult to isolate a player on one side of the court. This allowed for more double and triple teams, which would actually make it more difficult for Jordan to score. Unfortunately, Lebron is not as athletic or fast as Jordan. He also is not as fundamentally sound, so his footwork, is not as good. Jordan would probably win 6 out of 10 1v1s.

Jordan shot 50.5% from the field as a member of the Bulls. The year after he retired, he almost severed the finger of his shooting hand with a cigar cutter. So by the time he played for the Wizards, his shooting fell to 43% because he was out of shape, older and because his hand was badly damaged. So his career shooting average is 49.7% because those Wizards years brought down his average.

MJ stats in Chicago 31.5 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, 5.4 assists per game, 2.5 steals per game, and 0.9 blocks per game while shooting 50.5%. Career Stats (+ Wizards) : PTS. 30.1 ; REB. 6.2 ; AST. 5.3 ; FG%. 49.7. But keep in mind that most of the time at the Wizards he was injured or played more carefully so as not to repeat the injury (in his second year). The number one problem was that the injury also affects the training, not only the games.

The jordan rule is basically the illegal offense rule, it was a counter to illegal defense. So I think from 1947 to 2002 the nba had illegal defense ans it meant you had to play man to man defense and couldn't defend in a zone. It would be a volition if you did and jordan with his quick 1st step and quickness used to abuse that rule in his younger days. The bulls would make 3 guys go out close to the perimeter on the weak side so their defender would have to stick to them and cleared the way for jordan to go to work on his defender. The league saw joedan abusing it so they made the jordan rule "illegal offense" in 1988 iirc to slow him down. I know this is long but hope it helps clear that up.

LeBron Hand Span is 9.25 inches and Hand Length 9 inches Jordan Hand Span is 11.38 inches and Hand Length 9.75 inches Also, statistics show that Kobe outperforms LeBron when they're on iso plays. LeBron struggles when Kobe is guarding him 1 on 1, while Kobe does quite well when LeBron guards him 1 on 1. Jordan would do very well guarding LeBron.. he's one of the best defenders of all time.

MJ's hand size is also insane compared to his height. 6'6 with long arms, big ass hands, and a huge vert... combined with insane Kyrie type finishing... a handle that wasn't technical or tight, but was smoothly athletic... lethal post and midrange game/footwork like Kobe or Kawhi... a decent 3 that seemed to come up clutch... the aggressive dunk on you and talk about it attitude, killer instinct like bird and magic... MJ was the GOAT (but I got LBJ #2, and I can't rate the old dudes like wilt and Russel and Jabbar cus I didn't see them play) great reaction so far! half an hour in and you got me subscribing... keep it up! edit: haha I look stupid you literally just talked about the hand size a minute after I paused to like comment subscribe, whatever I'm gonna leave it

Obviously before Lebron came there were people who felt Wilt or Oscar, or Bill Russell were the greatest players of all time. The arrival of Lebron did not start that discussion, a lot of people don't even think Lebron is top 5. What Lebron and specifically Klutch sports started was the media obsession with having this debate and placing Lebron in it/trying to push the narrative that he is actually better than Jordan.

It's worth pointing out that most crossovers today would have been turnovers in the 90s because of how far down the hand goes on the ball. Iverson broke the mold on that but still got called for holding fairly often when he did crossover.

Interesting to say 1987-88 Bulls were trash.. Horace Grant and Scottie Pippen joined that year. So apparently Scottie wasn't as good, until he was taught by Jordan, how to play. And that's why it took 3 years to win the title. And Oakley and Paxton were already there. Edit: that 1 on 1 practice part was filmed in 2009, when Jordan was 46 years old! Just let that sink in.. 46..

In college some group of students doing a project on athletes measured him at 46 in vert and that was recorded in their tests but one of them said jordan got 48 on an unrecorded test which is probably where the 48 in thing comes from. I wanna say ingame jordan getting like 44 inches and lebron is probably around that, so I think comparing the 2's vert is a wash

Jordan rule was the from the detroit pistons. It's the defense they used on Jordan to funnel him in the middle and beat the crap out of him. The illegal offense foul that the NBA placed was to limit coach collin's offense where he will put 4 people on one side of the court leaving Jordan destroying the 1 defender. Lebron fans love to say the NBA made it easier for Jordan but yet complain about the hard defense played in the 80's and 90's. They don't even know exactly what rule that was. That one rule that was created was the introduction of the flagrant foul.

So Jordan leading his team in all those categories in 1988 isn't the same as LeBron leading his team in all those categories but "LeBron didn't have any help" but "Jordan's team was trash" at the same time? Believe me, I'm not knocking you at all but this is one of the many arguments you get when you talk about the two of them in comparing them. I might also add that Jordan's teams, although they were trash still made the playoffs when LeBron didn't make the playoffs his first 2 years. So whose team was more trash?
