The Chosen one is a genius! You are right, Tommy took this song and turned it into melodic epicness. It is beyond words

What a time to be alive comes to my mind 🥰 Or in other words: "After sleeping through a hundred million centuries We have finally opened our eyes on a sumptuous planet Sparkling with color, bountiful with life Within decades we must close our eyes again Isn't it a noble, an enlightened way of spending our brief Time in the sun, to work at understanding the [...]" versatile Multi-Instrumentalist (including vocals🥰) by the name Tommy Johansson? "And how we have come to wake up [...]" on this "lonely farer in the Goldilocks zone" Just in the right time to witness all this magical talent from the otherworld, beyond our imagination "We privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds," To witness the grandeur of these awesome pieces of art "how dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred?" So to all of us, who are gratefull to be alive now🥰 lets us join in the chorus: WE ARE HERE TO WITNESS AND SPREAD THESE PIECES OF ART So they can linger for decades and centuries ... I don't know where that came from, but it describes perfectly how I feel when listening to Tommy and other Living Music Legends 😅 Must be some quotes or so 😉😅 💕🥰💞

@ Amy I need to tell you a story, lol. In a recent book by my favourite author Patricia Briggs Wild Sign the very musical heroine meets a stranger who plays a melody on guitar. The melody gets stuck in her mind and after a while she figures out it uses the Pachebel. Turns out to be a spell hidden inside that use the Pachebel to entice her out of safety and deliver her to the enemy. To break free she needs to use powers music herself and starts belting out 'We Will Rock You" during her flight, meeting up with an ally who asks why it's necessary to channel Freddie Mercury. At another instance, when she is threatened to get overtaken by the music the hero sings The Hu to her, to break the hold. So when a great guitarist, already known for channeling Freddie Mercury, was beginning to play the Pachebel, it certainly gave me a jolt and made me feel kind of wary in that part of the video. The day Tommy covers The Hu we will be doomed. We are already stuck in his spell.😄

@@carinarodebak9419 OMG that's a fantastic story! How fun! And, yeah, I'm spellbound, for sure! It's Friday so I'm about to listen to his Blondie cover... but for me, Pachelbel played on guitar is like my kryptonite! I love it! So when I 1st clicked on Basketcase...my head nearly exploded! Have a great weekend, Carina!

Do you wanna dive in some old Tommy stuff? Start with I want out (Helloween cover.) 10-11 years ago he did this with a band called Granskogerz. Very funny video

This is such a great reaction to Tommy's arrangement of "Basket Case". Not to knock Greenday, but he kind of leaves the original in the dust. As you have often said, he's "The Chosen One". There's really no other way to say it.
