Tomb Raider is the new 2013 reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise from developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix. It will be the tenth Tomb Raider game, and the first in a new take on the series. Tomb Raider explores the intense and gritty origin story of Lara Croft and her ascent from a frightened young woman to a hardened survivor. Armed only with raw instincts and the ability to push beyond the limits of human endurance, Lara must fight to unravel the dark history of a forgotten island to escape its relentless hold.
Fresh from university and in search of lost relics, a 21-year-old Lara Croft journeys to an island off the coast of Japan aboard the Endurance, a salvage vessel helmed by Captain Conrad Roth. Before anchoring at bay, the ship is cloven in two by an unforeseen storm leaving Lara separated from any other survivors and washed ashore. She must endure physical and emotional torture in order to survive the island.
The game will start out with Lara having no weapons, food, water, or tools. As the game progresses, base camps become unlocked, giving Lara a place to craft new tools out of picked-up items. Base camps also offer a place for Lara to learn new skills in the "skill system" to unlock new parts of the island to explore. Fast travel will be available between base camps. Combat is also going to be heavily emphasised, with no lock-on system. Instead, the game is employing a "free-aim" approach, keeping the HUD minimalized.
A new feature to the series will be something dubbed "Survival Instinct." When activated, items of importance will glow, helping out stuck players. Puzzles will also be much harder than in previous games. The developers say that the player will need the elements of water, wind, and fire as well as friction to solve puzzles.
Characters include: Lara Croft, Conrad Roth, Alex, Jonah, Reyes, Sam, Dr. Whitman, Grim, Mathias, Steph.
Locations include: Coastal Forest, Mountain Temple, Mountain Village, Base Approach. Mountain Base, Base Exterior, Cliffside Village, Mountain Pass, Chasm Monastery, Shanty Town, Cavern Entrance, Geothermal Caverns, Solarii Fortress, Summit Forest, Shipwreck Beach, Cliffside Bunker, Research Base, Chasm Stronghold, Chasm Shrine, Chasm Ziggurat.

I recently bought Rise Of The Tomb Raider and Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and I was about to play when I found this one, now I have to wait till this one comes in the mail. These games look so cool!

I just downloaded this game and yeah it's quite late I'm playing it but it's worth it. Even in 2018 this game looks beautiful and also its not a very big game,works great on my omen

Still hasn't changed a bit it's very rare nowadays
My mom just gave me as a gift an used Xbox 360 and the old owner also gave me this game. I must say that, besides being pretty bad at videogaming because it's my first videogame ever, I am amazed and excited about Tomb Raider. I've been eating gameplays for breakfast. This game is soooo intense, it's just one thing after another and you have to be so quick! I bought an Xbox 360 a few months ago and this was the first game I played on it, not knowing how intense it would be, so I was doing all these quick-time events over and over without even having learnt the Xbox controls yet XD I somehow managed to get pretty far in the game, though! I'm still playing it now, it's amazing and I love it

Can we discuss the injuries of Lara Croft? (And also sorry for complaining about a video game. I'm quite the asshole.) Okay, Lara literally fell quite a few times, and yet never seemed to injure a bone. However, she got pierced in her lower torso. But Lara got over that in a few hours. She found her friend, in which they did not notice the large bloody spot (even if she did, Sam, nor Lara never discussed that.) Then she stepped in a bear trap. And although this time in more of a panic, she still just sat down next to the fire. The one professor didn't even care. Tomb raider logic: Just survived an extremely dangerous scenario, but still injured badly = Just sit near a fire, and relax... :P

I've been looking for a new game to play and I never would have considered Tomb Raider because I love adventure games and puzzles, but not so much combat (it gets old and I'm not good at it). This completely changed my mind. I am so excited to play this game.

I rely heavily on auto-aim because I have a movement disorder. I wasn't able to even get past the wolves at the beginning without it, so I'm resorting to watching it. Best of luck to you in the combat though!

Played this game for the first time back in 2018 and it was the game that introduced me to the Tomb Raider games.
I've been feeling sad and what better way but to watch theRadBrad and one of my favorite games.

i thought this type of stuff was boring but now i like this so much
I have a friend that hates TR so much and now it's getting Ridiculous. He always hate TR adventurers games. Once Lara croft and the guardian of light released I told him to try it and I showed it to him but he just can't like it even though the game is totally different than the PS series. As time goes by he started to play Temple run and other endless running game on smart phone. I tried to introduce him the Lara Croft Relic Run and he just can't like the game just because of the TR. it's kind stupid to me that if he see Tomb Raider or Lara Croft title he would hate it no matter what type of game it is. He was making dumb comments about Relic Run by saying. Why is she running? She's not running away from anything why can't she walks a collect relic?. I'm speechless.

This game is the best survival game I ever played!! Just awesome!! Not gonna lie! 🌟
The intro itself should get at least 20 awards. So cool and beautiful, stunning graphics. :)
