I would love to see the starting level(s) of tomb raider 1. And you mentioned that these will be playable, where do you plan on releasing them? I'm hyped man! whoop whoop. 🙌😃

@@Synesthesiaum2 Thank you! The Side-Scroller will be released on TRCustoms.org exclusively (no release date has been set yet, it's still in development)

If only Gameboy was still a thing and they remade the first 6 Tomb Raiders like this.

Your work is awesome. These side-scrolling videos are such a cool idea. You execute them so well. The smooth and deliberate movements signal that you put a lot of thought into the details too. Major kudos all around. Thanks for making and sharing these. It is so nice to see wholesome and competent passion like this.

I don't know if these 2D levels are videos just for fun or some kind of concept, but I do hope you release them as full games someday. They seem to be so much fun and also gorgeous. Kudos to you!

What a pleasant surprise! Would love to play the classic TR games as a sidescroller! So creative!

Fascinating how you managed to make the surroundings actually look like the original TR3. Like, I actually knew and felt where Lara was and was heading, thanks to the surroundings and textures, as if she was still in the 3D level! This was incredibly done and I wish we'd actually get a new 2D Tomb Raider adventure, like the ones on the Game Boy or Java games on Nokia phones.

You've fixed the biggest issue, camera and aiming Good job

This is so amazing! Your works are outstanding, Delca! You manage to capture atmosphere of classic TR and still always create something surprising and exciting! Love your TR levels and ideas. Now I imagined how series of such levels would look like from TR 1 to 5 highlighting each level, quite interesting perspective :D

I don't know if I would call this a remake, since it's using the same engine almost unmodified, and you're actually removing one dimension in terms of movement freedom. It's almost like a demake actually if you think about it. Leaving that aside, this is very interesting! Can't wait to give it a try.

This is so nice! It really retains the character while being its own thing. Haha the shotgun was sure easy to find though! Are those just ideas or are you planning to actually make the whole TR1, 2 and 3 as side-scrollers?

For now only my favorite levels :) I'm afraid some levels (in particular vehicle levels) might be too difficult/not suitable for this style of gameplay

Hey! You know what, this level imagination kind of reminds me of the Tarzan platformer. Good Old Times. I'm beginning to really like this project. Wasnt a big fan of Gameboy Color games, but this May change!

This reminds me about two level sets made by alexchap where he had fixed camera views. Very cool. If you got technical issues you can try fixed cameras maybe. I dont know

Just out of curiosity, are you planning to apply textures to the walls that face the camera, to get a more "realistic" scenery so to speak, or are you gonna leave them blank? I honestly think that both options are cool, this style gives the vibe of a diorama, like a little toy scene. ❤

I actually tried both, but somehow the "void"/black style worked better for side-scroller gameplay! :)
