I planted empty pots next to all my courgette and squash plants last year to help with watering and will do it again this year. Didn't think about doing it for tomatoes though so will give it a go!

I really enjoy your videos, I’m sorry to hear you had to give up your allotment. However keep going converting your home garden to veggies. Most veggies can look very attractive as beds, mix in with flowers or flowering herbs and the look is amazing plus you can attract the pollinators to where they are needed don’t you think? The English cottage garden practically. This year I’m trying something new to me, I have one veggie bed devoted to the 3 sisters, runner beans! Sweetcorn and squashes. Just following a plan I found on the internet. Also trying with peas sown in little patches between each station of beans…be interesting to see how much I can harvest. I have a source now of well rotted horse manure and I can dig out my now empty chicken pen for the composted chicken manure, so they should be well fed. I will let you know my success in due time as it could be a great way to increase cropping as long as the soil is looked after. Always rambling about something so I am. Enjoy your garden and my hopes are your family concerns will work out with time.

Thank you very much for your comment Susan which is greatly appreciated. You seem to be trying quite a lot of different things so please keep me updated. Growing veg in my garden is a very different challenge to having a large allotment but I'm really enjoying it. I will keep posting update videos in between all of th other videos I produce. Kind regards. Gary
