All those tomatoes reminds me of a little song from the West Indies; 🎶🎵 Way down south where bananas grow ants are stepping on elephant toes elephant sighs with tears in his eyes, and says why don't you pick on someone your size Papa didn't plant much cotton or corn very few potatoes green peas or Lima beans but lord he's got tomatoes. 🍅

Another awesome video. Sweet Sammi got amazing hands to catch all them cabbages with ease. She’s awesome. Glad to see the corn maze is developing nicely. God has certainly blessed your farm with bountiful harvest even in a bad drought. I love how your videoing and editing styles makes your viewers feel like they are tight there with you. And you and the others make us feel welcomed like friends. A recipe for success of your channel as your fast rising subscriber count proves. God bless each of you my young friend.

I am new here - love all the pics of the harvest, but I'm confused by your last statement - "What isn't much?" "It ain't (sic) much, but it's honest work." Feeding people Isn't a little thing. Ask your mom and dad if they think it isn't much. Looks to me like it is all "very much". And 150 acres - amazing. What would be "much"? Your farm seems amazing and I love the variety of veggies you grow and harvest. Looks like a tremendous amount of hard labor to me!

I don't know how much road traffic you get but you could take those tomatoes down to the end of the road and write up a facebook ad, offering a "come and get it price" and sell your extra veggies. Or maybe a few grocery stores or mom and pop grocery stores would take some cheap and sell them to make extra cash. I cook down tomatoes slowly and make my jars of pizza sauce. Instead of adding sugar, I throw in some sweet red bell peppers in the blender and make a slush, literally. Then I throw that slush in a strainer with a piece of cheese cloth. I slowly add that sweet bell pepper liquid into my pizza sauce until I think it's perfect. I don't use white or brown sugar when you can add the sweetness using real veggies. I use 2 and 4 ounce canning jars so I can snap one open for pizza's or pizza subs or even pizza pasta! Cut up your favorite veggies, cook and or gather your meat selection. Throw in cooked rotini in a greased pan. Add your veggies and meats and cheese and sauce and bake.

I got less than 1/4" of rain last night. Waiting patiently on our second planting of zucchini. The deer ate the zucchini last year, last night they broke down the deer fence around the corn and zucchini and ate a little.

  • @luadraponies

Because of stupid laws here, our non native deer population is protected in areas, only state registered hunters allowed to hunt a few other parts. Farmers are copping it, but close to the vast amounts of government forests. Because they are not impacting life in the suburbs, they do not care. To have you show the damage by bambi to crops is sobering.

The prickles on squash and pumpkins stems are a desert adaptation. The leaf acts as a funnel to direct dew or rain to the stem. The prickles break the surface tension of water droplets keeping them on the stem where it follows it to the ground at the root. On a dewy morning, there will be a wet spot at each pumpkin leaf/stem/ root.
