Tomahawk Air K 375 Drop Stitch Kayak
I have just uploaded an overview and review of our new Honwave T38 IE3 and Suzuki DF20A. You can find it here: • 2022 Honwave T38 IE3 a...
This Kayak was for sale but is now SOLD.
I also own an Aqua Marian Steam 312 and a Kxone (Z-pro) Flash 100. They are not for sale, but if you would like me to shoot a similar video please leave a comment. I know how difficult it is to find this kind of content on KZread.

Thanks for the very informative video. Am currently looking to buy a kayak, and have been considering this one. I appreciate seeing a "real human" setting it up and taking it down again (rather than just promotional videos where everyone makes it look so easy!)
Thanks for posting, Paul. Appreciate the time and effort this took!
I tried Kayaking last summer, and I've been thinking about getting one of these. After seeing this, I REALLY want one now! Thanks for the video.
Wonderful demonstration, thank you!
Thank you very much for this in-depth Video!
Excellent demonstration. Thank you!
Great demo / instructional video Paul. A kayak like this will be perfect in the beaches of Northern Spain... :-)

Thank you my friend. We’ll come and visit one day and put it too the test.
Thank you Paul!
Thank you for your explanation about your Tomahawk kayak. I have been thinking about purchasing a Tomahawk kayak. I will try enjoying the kayak in a certain lake in Japan.
Hi, Thank you for your demonstration. Greatings from Switzerland.
parfait ,merci pour la démonstration
Great informative video, thank you. Would you consider doing a follow up with it on the water? I’d love to see how well this kayak goes and how stable it is 🛶
Really nice product. Thanks for the instructions. I live in Thailand and want to buy the two-seater version.
Great informative video. Thank you for sharing. Anything extra to add 3 years later?
Thanks for the video! How do you like the Steam 312? I'm looking at getting it.
Thank you!
I'm the same weight as you, a bit shorter 6 ft 1", so this review speaks to me. But how do you get in if you fall out in deep water (tall walls) ? Does it auto-drain at all when spray gets in? Can it track fairly well without the skegs or is it a drag (literally)? Thank you.
Cool. What is the life span of this kayak and how is it okay to store it deflated?
This kayak is very unstable in the water. It can only be sailed in calm waters. It is fast, but you only use it in calm water because you have to keep an eye on your balance all the time. I fell over it even though the water was calm. So only buy it if you want to swim fast in calm waters. I am thinking about buying the Aqua Marina Steam-412 model because from the descriptions of other users it is more versatile. You can swim it even at sea, where the Air K 375 has no chance.
You guys should have a look at the da Vinci Canoa from Germany! Same type but you can remove the floor so it’s easier to clean and pack.

Thanks mate, that is the ideal boat design and it's even really cheap for what it is.
Thanks bud, much appreciated. Anyone know what the Aqua Marine oars are like?
very informative...would like to hear how it tracks and how it performs in the ocean..many thanks

I am searching for the right stabilizers but yet to find I. a recommendation. I would never go out very far in any inflatable.
Thanks for the video looking to buy one of these dropstitch kayaks seems to be a few brands now. The tomahawks look like a good quality build from your video and guess the raised stray flap should help if you cut through small waves. I thought there would be more attachment points insides the kayak for footrests and securing gear, also on the bow and stern. Have you had it out on the water, how does it track, turn does it feel tippy with the padded seat and your height and weight?

Thanks for your comments and questions. The quality of the Aqua Marina stuff that we have is good with no obvious issues. My understanding is that most of the brands source their drop stick kayaks from the same places in China, so quality across the board should be decent. It really comes down to the details like attachment points, colour etc. Yes I have had the kayak out on the water, although I've sold it now. The kayak was defiantly quicker than other inflatable (non - drop stitch kayaks) and it did track well. Turing was more "graceful". I couldn't spin the kayak on the spot like I can with my much shorter Flash 100. Stability was ok but not initially confidence inspiring. If you've never paddled before it may feel a bit wobbly, but the trick is to relax and not stiffen up. I never tipped the kayak, it seemed to go so far and then stop. This is typical of a boat that can "edge". It didn't take me long to build sufficient confidence on the river, but I'd probably not want to take it on the sea with my level of ability.

@@Paul523069 thanks for the further feedback now I just need to sell this to the misses 🤞
Great review! Pal! Is it still doing very well after several months using? I'm considering getting one with 3 seats. Thanks!

I have the 3 Seats, it’s great👍
May be I did not adjust the seat in the right spot - this is something I will try to find out. I was alone in the boat - it is a 0neperson boat.
Thanks for the video! Any ideas if this is suitable to carry a large backpack in, say 25 kilos? Also is it prone to tipping over (and losing my backpack)?

You should be able to squeeze a pack in behind the seat. I would try to put it inside a dry bag and then tie the bag to seat attachment metal loops and maybe even find a way to attach it to the back carry handle too. That should stop you loosing it. Whether you can carry a 25kg pack depends on your weight. If you're more than 90kg I would not. Lastly, will it tip over? Well that depends on you. I'd build a bit of experience with it first as the kayak can feel a bit tippy to those new to paddling. Doesn't take long to get used too though.

where can buy this online
Is it stable at the sea conditions? How about plastic tickness? Do you think it can withstand small fishing needles :D

It is extremely unstable, even on calm lake waters. Honestly, this is one of the most unstable canoe/kayaks in general. Taking it into the sea would be high risk.
How comfortable are the seats? Are they just completely soft or they got some support on the backrest?

Hi what are the advantages of having two skegs ? I see most only have one. Thanks
@Paul523069
3 жыл бұрын
I've never read an explanation, but it could be that two "anchor points" in the water counteracts the turning motion generated by paddling more effectively than one. It may also mean that skegs can be a little shorter (2 short skegs instead of one long one may have the same effect). Shorter skies would allow paddling in shallower water. Just an educated guess though, I've not sat down and worked out the phyiics :)

Please, can anyone explain why my feeling in the boat 🚣 is very very very unstable. I fell from the boat twice today. The water was calm. The boat was inflated well. Even trying to canoe 🛶 with some more speed I felt very stressed 😩 all the time. I bought it new. Thank you 🙏 if you can help me out.

@@Paul523069 I think the other reason might be the the ability to use one of the skeg slots for attaching electric motor. Aqua Marina has specials motors for their sup boards and they can be connected to this kayak as well as I understand. Thank you Paul for your review it was very useful!

@@AdAppeltaaltrainingen Inflatable kayaks sit very high ON the water and so are less stable than rigid kayaks which sit IN the water. They are also more affected by any wind.

interesting, this model in my country seems to be on sale everywhere atm. cost like 1/3 of other drop stitched kayaks... any flaws/problems that you have noticed? did notice its missing a rudder system

Not sure which models your comparing it to or what country you're in, but when I bought this in the UK, prices were very comparable with others on the market, however, most other models were out of stock. I didn't spot any quality issues during the time I had it.
Actually fold up nice and does not look hard. Just wondering if this company has a kayak with self bailing plugs.? 🤷♂️
Looks like a canoe
10 psi is not very hard. You sure it's not 10 bar?
@Paul523069

Yes I’m sure it’s 10 psi. When combined with the structural element of the drop stitch fabrication of the floor and sides, the result is extremely solid.

I find this happening more and more but this is baically a knockoff of a Sea Eagle Razorlite 393. Not sure of the price difference but if you are a fan of this boat its worth taking a look.
Use the pump to suck out the air 🙂 Thank me later..
