You can’t be serious. That drummer was rushing in some parts and dragging in others. Drummer are always suppose to be on top of the beat. Unfortunately he wasn’t. He was just all over the place.

@@jerkface8051 Neil was a exceptional drummer, there's no match to that. But above all, he was a superb human being. So, he must be wearing a smile watching this drummer, no matter what experts may think

This song was recorded in her 40s if she is in her 90s not so crazy that she might like it still could be her son in the band.Drummer killin it !!!
Granny and gramps aren’t having it! Lol
Very good. Impressive, the drummer is really good. The other two guys are very talented as well. They deserve a much bigger crowd. Maybe they were practicing for a show.

Thanks! It was a fun backyard jam. We are playing bar gigs now, but this our first "show" and it was a relaxed and fun afternoon with friends and family!

@@user-ej4qf9xl2m Gord (drummer) is in his 50's and I (Andy, bass & keys) am 60, and man do we feel old when we're toting the gear home at 3 AM! ;) I'm a "patch-chaser" so I love working on the synth sounds to get them as close as I can. I created a website rushsynths.com to pull together info about Rush's use of synths. Just getting started but hoping to post a lot more soon.

Great job on all fronts.
The old auntie in the front row… hahaha! She’s awesome
Great job boys.
When did us Rush fans get this old?
Sweetness!!! Excellent!!
I enjoyed that much more than I thought I would. All 3 parts are work in that tune, drumming as per Neil is even more so, yet this dude did a great effort at slaying it. Cheers

Brilliant, really enjoyed this. ❤
This was great ..
Y'all did a great job. Hearing you play this makes me realize just HOW HARD Rush songs are. Those guys were SO talented. (And you are, too!). My favorite part was watching the looks on the audience's faces. :-)
They were great!
Killer job gents. Sounds amazing.
You didn't have to go so hard but you did!

@pfunk81 Several years ago I got to see Neil's R30 kit when it was shown at Just Drums in Toronto. While the drums were there, Lorne Wheaton did a preso about the kit and one of the things he mentioned was that Neil was a heavy hitter, and Lorne demonstrated how hard Neil plays by playing the kick drum as hard as Neil always does. I can still vividly recall the sound of that kick going through my chest! So, yes, we could lay back a bit, but it always looked and sounded to us like Rush was given'er and that "go for it" attitude was part of their sound, so we're just following the master's lead :)
There should be thousands of views. I feel like RUSH played live in Dorchester. 🎉😊
Not sure about the mosh pit but great work anyway guys ❤

Yea he needs to slow down a little bit. Sheesh! The name of the game, especially for this iconic song, isn’t to see how fast you can possible play it. He is talented but doesn’t need to try and break a speed record when he is playing.
Awesome job guys! You should have a hall full of screaming fans, not a couple folks sitting around. Just saying.
Niiiiice 👌🏻
Fair job on a pretty difficult tune. The drummer was rushing during the first musical interlude, and the guitarist likely couldn't hear either the drummer or the bass player during the solo -- so it sounded like he rushed through his part and the others were trailing. This is a really difficult song with odd time changes, though - and I do think it would have sounded more cohesive if the band members had monitors in front of them or in-ears.

Well, I used the metronome app on the Gefilter and checked Gordo's tempo against the original studio album tempo, and Gord was at 92 BPM while Neil was at 90 BPM. We might've been in a little hurry because the pizza was disappearing fast!
