Tom Petty - Something Could Happen (Official Lyric Video)

Ойын-сауық

The album, Wildflowers, released in 1994, is commonly vaunted as Tom Petty’s most personal, most heartfelt, and most revealing artistic statement of his career. Recorded over the course of two years and originally intended to be a two-disc album, it was perhaps the most creative period in his life.
The release of Wildflowers & All The Rest finally gathers together all 25 songs from the original recording sessions - the 15 songs from Wildflowers, plus the 10 songs that were left off the original release.

I heard this song for the first time 2 days ago, and I can't stop playing it. It's beautiful. I love it. It must have really been gut wrenching trying to decide which songs were going to make it onto Wildflowers. I'm grateful for all the events that conspired to bring this song to me. I need it now.

@@annbugbee5623 To be up that close that he let himself connect with you....if just for a few seconds...man...you are one lucky girl!! I think I would have fallen over if he had looked me in the eyes....even if just for a few seconds. I knew of him and his band but during that time I was married, working, and 'all the rest', so never got to follow him and just recently found him by a stroke of dumb luck. Never got to see/hear him in concert. I've been kind of addicted to his music since then. The simple words he chose to express such profound feelings just spoke to the ❤ of everyone ....I think because he was so gifted....he had that very special ability. That gift came from the very special soul of Tom Petty. (I was surprised to find out that we were exactly the same age.) So, so sorry that I never got to, and never will, get to see him in concert with his band. And you were so lucky....he threw you a guitar pic and you even caught it !!!

@fuddjcal I was late to the Tom Petty party, but once I was hooked, that was it for me. Not only prolific, but almost every single song is a gem. I saw him on that last tour, in Canandaigua, NY, in a beautiful outdoor setting. It was a magical night, he played brilliantly, it was flawless. When I found out he died someone texted me after a class I was working in (I'm a sign language interpreter) and I gasped so loudly that he professor asked me if I was ok. I pretended I was. I wasn't. I'm still not. Tom Petty - wow. I am a total Beatle freak, grew up with them, and it's kind of apples and oranges to me on that front. They speak to different parts of my life. Music - thank the universe for music!

I don't know another artist that could reach right down into my soul and paint a picture of exactly how I'm feeling through his words like Tom Petty. I know there are more heralded songwriters, but these words were so real and not put together in some fancy way for a catchy tune like Lennon/McCartney, and not painting some big abstract picture of American ala Bob Dylan, his words so frequently just jibe right with exactly what the heart is feeling at any given moment. If you don't believe me, anyone whose ever been through a rough breakup, divorce or otherwise, listen to Square One and if the hair on your arms isn't standing in the first minute.....well then I can't help you.

Great tune I saw Petty twice once at an outside venue in St.Louis, MO about three quarters away through and fully dark Mr. Petty starts running around stage looking for something all crazy like after a few minutes he finds a large chest and opens it slowly when he finally opens it all the way a giant spot light blasts into the night sky( like the ones they had at sales back in the day) he reaches into the light and pulls out his top hat puts it on and, starts playing Refugee crowd when bizerek it was the into the great wide open tour but we were ready for some of his classic and no one was disappointed. Thanks for the memory Mr. PETTY R.I.P.

is this the cut with Stan on drums? I know they did it with Stan, then tried it again later with Ferrone, before leaving it off the album altogether, i believe Tom liked the version with Stan the best and wanted that one on "All The Rest". it doesn't have a Ferrone feel, too loose, but in a good way.
