I kinda think so, but not only because of "bad" people, etc. I think back in the day we were separated by region and the regions were highly distinctive. They were from Gainesville, and Gainesville was its own "thing" and he brought that Southern flair to California just like other bands from that region (Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, etc.) let their southern rock sound emerge -- it wasn't as easy to get around so it was a big deal when everybody kind of "met up" with each other through mass media. Now, it's like we have one big "monoculture" where the stores are the same in every state and town, the radio got all bought up, everybody is kind of herded into a "sameness" which just isn't as cool.

This is fantastic.
Round the clock creative is from someone who is hard on himself, sometimes from childhood abuse, but he created beauty. I’m in the same boat, and I hate sharing my musical secrets with other musicians. But sometimes I begrudgingly do…I love his daisy shirt..

When MTV was MTV, MUSIC TELEVISION.
Those clips towards the end, where he has the sunglasses and scruffy face, was that it's own interview that was aired on it's own? I remember watching one where he looked like that. I was a little kid and only saw it once and haven't seen it since.
