Latter 1982. Where has the last 41 years gone? He really loved his fans and showed that for more than 35 years. Yes we got lucky having his music to listen to for all those years.

Can't believe this is the first time I'm hearing this song live, was never sure if he even played it, definitely one of his best songs, Long after dark had a few good ones on it, this is the attitude every man should have around the woman he loves

saw him everytime he played in my area, unfortunately not the very last 40th anniversary gig ! still pissed, he passed in LA? after gig! from hip injuryv& used a legal script for rx! bummer love❤ & miss him . .......

He's certainly up there with his songwriting, and, however we 'rank' songwriters, Tom's style of songwriting is uniquely magnetic. The buzz always helps performers, well, almost always. I know from experiencing it.

He was so cute when he was young!

The first Tom Petty and the Heatbreakers song I ever heard. Still one of my very favorites, though there are SO many absolutely amazing songs from them.

The first time I noticed Mike Campbell awesome guitar playing and Tom's vocals. Loved the video and music. Such an important part of my youth and adulthood. Best music. Mike and Tom better then McCartney and Lennon and they were great.

Hard to remember when this was new. Like all classics, it feels like it must always have existed, yet still sounds fresh today.

I truly discovered Tom and the band in my teens, having grown up only occasionally hearing singles on the radio. All these years later I can't say there's another band I love more. RIP Tom, you were the greatest.

My wife drove from Simi Valley to Irvine two nights in a row during this tour as a teenager with her best friend. She turned me on to Tom in 1989 on the Full Moon Fever Tour.

This live version of You Got Lucky by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers is musically charismatic to listen to even with the tragic send-off love song energy of a woman voluntarily walking away from the music narrators life and the music narrator providing his honest response to her decision by implying that her finding a similar "good love" is going to be far from easy though without knowing the woman's side of the music story the meaning of good love can be subjective though to be fair this Tom Petty You Got Lucky live version song is musically memorable.

This is my favorite Tom Petty song and what a killer live version. Mike Campbell is such a fantastic guitar player and this song is a highlight.

RIP, Tom Petty, I grew up with your music, and it still holds a place in my life. Miss you.

This is fantastic.......period. Seeing Tom back in the day in his element, and Benmont pounding away on his lick on a song that was 'new' then..........and Mike, Ron and Stan jammin' on it........ahhhhhh, man!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ds ago I miss Tom. Despite his success, he was the most humble individuual. I saw about 30 of his concerts (California, New York - Beacon, MSG, Jones Beach). I saw him aged but always give him the best he was able to. RIP.

I love Tom and his music. RIP Tom. And Tom loved the fans as much as they loved him.

Great story teller. I may be late t the game in noticing this. But his lyrics are great
