Yep. I was just singing American Girl acapella in my house. First song I ever sang at a real gig. I miss him a lot. World was better with Petty in it.

Not the slinkiest, rockiest, most original tune from Hard Promises. I would go as far as to say a throwaway. Maybe an attempt to write another single. The Waiting is also a "catchy" tune but it has the depth and originality thatthe Beatles' catchy tunes have, which makes it truly great Yet even TP's throwaways have the stamp of his personality on them and there is that.

I'm just going to be honest, if you can't let fans listen to a song that is 20+ years old, us fans will just go somewhere else to listen to this music. I tried to give you the opportunity to collect the ad revenue. If you want bootleggers to collect more money than you do for the ad revenue, then you have achieved your goals.
