**UPDATE** Amani sadly passed on 21/02/22 after a 22month battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer at just 23yrs old. Tom Parker passed just 6weeks later.
On 27th April 2021, Tom Parker came to visit Amani to film for his documentary 'Tom Parker: Inside My Head''. Unfortunately these scenes did not make the final cut due to timing constraints. But Channel 4 were kind enough to send us the footage so that we could share it separately.

We were honoured to welcome Tom Parker into our home as our special guest. It was a lovely day spent mostly laughing and joking despite the fact that they were meeting because they both belong to a club noone wants to be a part of.
Tom Parker was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4 in October 2020. Amani was diagnosed with the same disease in May 2020 and due to her mutation was given a chilling prognosis of 12-18months.

Amani died too? I had been following Tom's journey as my brother had the same cancer but he too died at the age of 60.

So sad to know, watching this, Tom and Amani are now no longer around. They seemed likely lovely genuine souls. Something for all of us to reflect on. May Allah grant them both a beautiful place in paradise. Ameen 🙏

Amani and Tom literally died 1 month apart. So Sad! I just came across this beautiful video and their podcast.
Amani was so beautiful, intelligent, brave, determined, kind and funny. My heart aches for her family. She (and her family) fought so hard. We owe it to Amani, Tom and others like them to continue their fight for more funding for brain cancer research. My thoughts are with Amani’s family. You are such lovely people and you have suffered and lost so much. But, how lucky you were to have her in your lives. Amani and Tom, we won’t ever forget you. xox

Heart breaking May God look after them and let them joke around in Heaven. Truely the most inspirational characters. Their souls were so strong and not weak. Inna lillahi wa inna illayhi rajioon. You are right it is not fair and what I notice more and more is how many rich and powerful people seem to avoid cancer in general, some say better health care or life style but the numbers do not lie. Not one of the royal family has had cancer since George vi in the 50s tell me that is luck...

@@mkfloyd9131 I agree with you although speaking as a Muslim this life is a test. The people who are rich and avoid the trials of this life have longer on this earth to be accounted for their actions and their use of their wealth. They have their 'heaven' here and nothing in the next life which is eternal. Mohammed Ali was once asked how he defines eternity, he said it quite eloquently imagine standing in a desert with an empty glass, picking up each grain of sand until the desert is clear. Illness washes away your sins so in a way the suffering is a source of reward. I hope that helps ...don't envy these people who appear to have it all and never get any serious illness. Wish them well. Things are not what they seem in this world. 🤔 These 2 individuals had beautiful souls, we pray they are both in a better place. Ameen 🙏

Honestly hit the nail on the head, people shouldn’t have to beg and almost kill themselves to get the treatments and medical assistance they need, if you got the resources to help people do so, why is there always a cost; this world makes me sick gaining of other people’s suffering

Life always costs something 😢it's like Ruqya for sihir related illnesses,a lot of people say that there are Imams that do free Ruqya sadly this doesn't exist. It's like me if I don't get help soon asap my life will be over 😭

Sadly that's not a choice we have and we cannot therefore be angry...our Creator decides and we are only here until that moment comes. It's hard for those left behind 😪 I've experienced bereavement from the very young to very old. It's sad and difficult to accept.
Ya Allah swt please grant jannat al FIrdous to our sister amani and this brother Tom who met our sister in her last times on this earth. Ameen # London 💚💚
