Exactly, judge people based on their actions, not their skin color. As for privilege, ALL of us who were born in the USA, black, white, yellow, green or whatever, are privileged to have the good fortune to be born in the USA where we have a democratic stable government, and live in relative safety compared to a good portion of the world.

Your video just came across my feed 2 years later. And I got to say, much love and respect to you. And thank you for saying the shit about your past about being on that football team. Remember the Titans is one of my all time favorite movies. Everytime it's on i watch it. But yes absolutely agree with your analysis of Tom's song. It's the first song i had ever heard from him, about 2 months ago. Love Tom's music. And I'm thankful for my parents bringing me up with treating everyone with respect unless disrespected. Sincerely a new subscriber.

I loved your review of this you kept an open mind and many others the message was lost by the media thought process I relate to this song simply put I've been called a Nazi a racist for literally speaking truth I told one guy no one's stopping you from success and was called a racist for it cause I think when songs like this have to be made we need to do some soul searching in ourselves

I 100% agree with you by the way. You gotta look inside the person, not the outside. Admittedly, everyone has stereotypes and puts people into boxes subconciously. Thats because the brain can't handle the full truth. But if you are aware of that and stop yourself as good as you can from judging people for things they cant influence, like looks, economic status, heritage etc.. See another human as a person and not as "Black" or "White", "Trump Supporter" "Feminist", "American" "Foreigner". The real problem is, as long as people lable others as "not different", some kids might think that they are. Before they didnt have a reason to think there was a deeper difference, but as soon as youre told that there isnt, that might make you suspicious that there is. Racism is self-containing. Talk about, try to stop it, that will just feed it. I think we should just completely, 100% stop talking about race, group, status anywhere. That's the only possibilty to abandon a stereotypical world as far as I see it.

Love the perspective. I was a 1 of 2 pale dudes in my schools growing up. This is in a major city. Football, well sports, were a bastion. We all became family. Most of my friends were and still are non-whites because we relate culturally more than I do with white people. Been friends since elementary. Life is complex and it requires us to stop, think, and converse. Not gonna go too deep. Liked abd subscribed, keep it up.

I like this type of commentary. The reason I like it is, I get angry at the Black community not because they are black but because it is acceptable to talk about me, my Family and even my little Daughter has been treated poorly for being white. Five years old and her and I were ran out of a public park. Then she was knocked down in a big bouncy house hill, like huge hill by grown women who didnt see if she was ok or say sorry or anything. She did like a scorpion, bent in half backwards. Then you have other blacks who see this and not step up. so when the white guy says whats what we are racist and get in trouble. even other whites will slam you because you spoke up for yourself. So the prob I have with the other segment of blacks is they wont speak up. Wrong is wrong period. We dont have to be friends we dont have to like the same things, but we DO have to respect one another period. Or what just keep fighting. I dont know about you but the only thing I hate is DRAMA!! Great video My Friend!

Your differences only cuase problems if you let it and a world of possibilities opens up when you look at how someone is on the inside. Thats how me, a white guy, ended up with a black man being like a second dad to me. I am and always will grateful for the guidance he's given and the help and support i needed when reached a life changing fork in the road.

I liked how you watch it fully, and then react after. Insightful commentary and information. I definitely have experienced racist or bad white and black people in my life, and fuck those people, but also plenty of people who are just people. Skin color isn't always a factor, and it's awesome when its not. Use to fight mma for 9 years, and was in an almost all black training camp for years. Some of the best dudes ever. Also lived in LA for awhile, and got jumped or fucked with for being white a good few times. Judge the individual not the color!

Thank you for your honest opinion and thank you for sharing your personal experiences. All races have some bad people who are racist and it's not okay. If we can spread love and tolerance, then we can stop this racial divide. We are all beautiful because of our differences and no one or nothing can change that opinion that I have.

Great video man tired of seeing all the division. Not all white people are racist and not all black people are ignorant thugs. It's content of character.

Ain't nobody higher than you brother and watching you react to this song was beautiful. I've dealt with Tom personally from a musician standpoint and I fuckin love what he's doing lately. I don't care if it's rock, blues, metal, funk, or hip hop, as long as it comes from the heart it's all I care about. If it comes from the heart I'll give it a listen I don't care. Now I got a challenge for you. It would be rad if you did a blind melon song. "Mother". Do mother by blind melon, please. I'm gonna hit subscribe and I would love to see you react to mother by blind melon. Peace brother, beautiful video. Check out hangman by Tom too cuz the rhyme and the flow in that song is ridiculous, and I'm white and Canadian, just like tom MacDonald haha. But for real, from my heart, please do mother by blind melon ✌❤🎶☺

Thanks for your videos man. Your reviews are clearly authentic and it's so fresh to see someone who keeps an open mind no matter the topic or which way you're "supposed" to view a subject. I'm a white man and you're a black man because that's the way society decided to view us. But luckily for us throughout this planet's history almost all major societal labels have been looked back on as being completely idiotic. Even though the separation of humans based on the color of their skin has been around since our beginning it cannot last forever. Something so stupid cannot survive an eternity. It just cant. Eventually that day will come and as the "white man" I am today I'll be just as proud then as I am now to call "black men" my brothers. Thanks for your videos bro

I´m just wondering, have you ever heard of the rapper NF? He is one of the releast rappers out there and i´m sure you´d love his work! His most famous one would be one of his newest album, "Let you down". One of his most powerful/emotional songs would be "Oh Lord" but it doesn´t have a music video so maybe not the best one for a reaction video.I´d recommend "Therapy Session" or "How could you leave us". Keep up the good work, i´m honestly not a fan of "reaction" videos, but i like your honest and real personality. You don´t judge words, you try to get behind the person, to understand what and most importantly WHY someone says what he says, respect!
