If you’ve been following him as he grew he always put that on display.. he’s never been ashamed to say what he was or is.. I love him for that.

I was bullied in middle school for my clothes too. I grew up in poverty and my mom couldnt afford to buy me new stuff every year. I wore torn up clothes and shoes all the time, its the only stuff i had. But now im an engineer and can afford whatever i want. Love this song. Love being able to relate with yall on some level. And you always help me to realize something new about Toms message. Thank you!

10:24 I can personally relate, as can others, I was bullied and beat up in middle school for being poor. Wearing the same damn clothes I did the year before, shoes being held together with duct tape and cardboard for the insole to keep the pavement from tearing up my feet from the holes on the sole. Nowadays I'm not rich by any means but I do run my own merchandise store online and work construction, and I tell my kids not to ever make fun of a homeless person or the poor because dear old dad has been both and you don't know their struggle.

This song got me deep. It's very close to home, having a similar mindset and lifestyle like Toms. This song motives me, to keep chasing my dream.
